From one of the new kids on the block-HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! 😀 😀 That being said the race for Christmas is on. I hope Windstones puts up some “specials” soon–I’m chomping at the bit to try to get one.
November 27, 2008 at 2:27 pm #743066Happy Thanksgiving!
November 27, 2008 at 2:32 pm #743067Who’s venturing out for Black Friday sales? I’m def. not. lol
November 27, 2008 at 2:41 pm #743068Not me! I finished most of my shopping earlier this week.
November 27, 2008 at 2:56 pm #743069Happy Thanksgiving! And I’ll be braving the stores on Black Friday; wouldn’t want to break tradition!
November 27, 2008 at 3:09 pm #743070I have to work on Friday. e.e Please be kind to us retail people~
November 27, 2008 at 3:32 pm #743071I used to have to work the day after also–my heartfelt sympathy the public gets really nutty that day.
November 27, 2008 at 4:49 pm #743072Happy Turkey Day to all! (or Tofurkey, for the vegetarians!) My emperor dragon is eyeing the fridge with all of the food for the day from his bookshelf… I hope he doesn’t get any ideas!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

Me! I’m really going to make an effort to be outta bed, dressed, and on the road in time for the 5:00AM specials.
November 27, 2008 at 6:34 pm #743074What’s on the menu you guys??
My menu…
Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Brussel Sprouts with homemade cheese sauce
Green bean casserole with fresh green beans
Butternut squash- baked with butter and brown sugar
Buttered homemade style egg noodles
Turkey gravy from scratch, of course
Homemade bread and rolls, which I am letting rise as I type, tossing into the oven here in just a bit.Dessert…
Pumpkin cheesecake!
Made some biscuits and cinnamon rolls for breakfast along with some much needed coffee. Need to go back into the kitchen in a few minutes to prepare the stuffing and get the turkey set up, but since I still have to bake the bread, it will be going in a bit later. It is a pretty small one as turkeys go, only 13.5 lbs, so shouldn’t take more than 3 hours to roast. And eating at 3:30pm is too early for me.
Not to mention I have a bunch of other things to prepare yet, so I think dinner will be ready somewhere around 5pm, which will be when everyone is clammoring for food, so it will be perfect timing.

Having worked on a couple of Black Fridays I make it a point to not leave the house. I will, however, hit some online retailers to try to find a good deal! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Ah, Kyrin, could you maybe slide me a piece of that pumpkin pie cheesecake?
