Well, I am flattered to be here. I never expected to be put in the spotlight. Thank you. (Guess I will have to make sure and check this thread now. π )
Star, to answer your question, I started to paint plaster and ceramics with my grandmother when I was about 7 years old. She would buy these huge elaborate plaster sculptures at the local pottery place. Fruit bowls and huge owl banks as examples.
Until the PYO’s came out, I hadn’t painted since 1991. I took 4 years of art my senior year in highschool…Pottery, sculpting, drawing 1, and painting. I REALLY stink with painting on paper though. π There was never detailing when I was little, just paint the color on. π I loved having 4 art classes my senior year. I hated study halls because I didn’t need them. My true choice for paper art is colored pencils. I also like to do black and whites in ink.
Actually, I have to admit, I never expected to do as many swaps as I have with fellow forum members. π
Painting is actually one of the most relaxing things I can do with my time, and it keeps my speeding mind away from dwelling on problems I may have. π³
Thank you for asking. π
(BTW…Thanks Star for giving me a poke. π )
