I HATEto come here with personal problems and have been trying NOT to BUT I have jsut foudn out I’m at risk of losing my house
I have been having a bit of money troubles and wa not able to pay my HOA (Home Owners Association) dues since last October. I tried to get them started again but the check got returned to me and I wsa told I’m now in the hands of a collection company. I have been trying to work with them on a payment plan. I was going out on a limb with what we proposed since it was going to be hard for me to make the payments until my winter OT kicks in but the association rejected the offer and now the lien is set to expire and I have 90 days to come up with the money or my condo will be set up or auction and I will be homeless.
With my credit right now I do not think I will be able to rent an apt anywhere and if I found someone that would it will be a HORRIBLE neighborhood.
The possible good news is that if the winter rains do start I MIGHT be able to pay them off within the 10-6 to 1-6 90 day time frame but that is ONLY if it pours down rain thru the entire month of December. I don’t know if I can sell any of my Frankiln Mint dragons to raise the money since they are not selling too high on e-bay lately. I have nothing left that I can get in my 401K to cover this amount either
I’m not even sure if I could get this money from the Green Gold SK I have. I did not want to sell her either but I have to keep my house.
Any suggestions to make $4000 in 3 months??
September 19, 2008 at 4:05 pm #496671September 19, 2008 at 4:07 pm #733086ouch….I’m so sorry, I wish I did have some suggestions, I’ll think on it some and be sending thoughts of rain your way.
September 19, 2008 at 4:11 pm #733087I am so sorry. I wish I had some advice, but I don’t have any. 🙁
September 19, 2008 at 4:19 pm #733088You already have 2 jobs, no?
I was going to suggest taking a short-term contract, but that would mean a third job, not really do-able…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I actually got some hopefull news
I have 2 loans with my 401k that are both almost paid in full (1 pays off in March the other in September 2009). I’m paying off the small (Sept) one that will allow me to get another loan with enough money to pay off the entire amount in full AND have a little left over. I KNEW there had to be a way but I’m still not completely out of the fire yet since I will not have any more money I can get to there
September 19, 2008 at 5:10 pm #733090See if you can’t discuss your situation to whoever is in charge of your loan, and explain that everything should be paid off and caught up in two or three months.
September 19, 2008 at 5:33 pm #733091I wish I could help.. but I sorry that you’re facing losing your house. 🙁
September 19, 2008 at 6:55 pm #733092AnonymousYou know Bob, not long after you joined this forum you’ve been waxing woe about your financial difficulties, not enough work, crashed car, etc. – and I can relate. Yet you continue to exhibit poor fiscal responsibility by purchasing what, two SK’s now?
It’s unfortunate when $h!t happens to people but there is also a certain measure of your own control involved.

This is my HOA dues and the HOA manager at the property managment compnay hates me since I’m the one always asking when they are going to fix things. As long as the loan works out I will be OK (I hope).
I only have 1 Gold Dragon (Male) to get that family done but he might have to wait some timeSeptember 19, 2008 at 7:02 pm #733094I hope everything works out for you, DM.

Snap
At the time I was able to afford that purchases I got.
Things where actually looking VERY good on the finalcial front at that time. I made those purchased a LONG time ago (over a year). Life has a funny way of changing and throwing you a curve ball that you do not expect such as the trouble you had when you bought your place. Moving when you are not ready and did not know you would have to etc.
I guess I’m done hereGood bye everyone
September 19, 2008 at 7:07 pm #733096Sorry to hear about your woes but
I agree with SnapIf it was me, I’d start selling off what Windstones I could to make the money. Having a place to live is more important than some pretty sculptures that only you can appreciate daily. Your priorities seem a bit off.

Fair enough. But if you are not in that position anymore, maybe it’s time to reverse some of those purchases?

I posted my comment as a positive gesture, but you’ve turned it into an emotional reaction.
I guess I’ll do the same! This is what, the fourth time you’ve “left”?
September 19, 2008 at 7:43 pm #733098All I say is, calm down both of you. Bickering is very immature, and it saddens (and severely annoys) me to see you two start to resort to this level.
But I agree with one thing Snap said, you need to sell off your expensive goods, if you need the money that bad.
