This can be an eye sore, but it’s really neat to see how well you can see hues!
This is my score:
Tell me what you get!
September 5, 2008 at 2:50 pm #496595September 5, 2008 at 3:26 pm #731631That was fun! I got a ‘4’ 🙂
September 5, 2008 at 3:52 pm #731632Wooo! Perfect score! I did it yesterday and got a 4 after being tripped up by the yellow/greens.
Husband: “Did I pick you a good monitor or what?” 😀
(He got a 23)
September 5, 2008 at 3:59 pm #731633Aw man I knew I wouldn’t like my score. I got a “7”. 8(
(I know, I know, it isn’t BAD, but as an artist I’d prefer perfect. Maybe I stare at bright colours too much…)
September 5, 2008 at 4:02 pm #731634Yay, I got a perfect!
September 5, 2008 at 4:06 pm #731635I got tripped up by the aqua blues and greens myself. I KNEW I DIDN’T LIKE THOSE COLOURS FOR A REASON.
September 5, 2008 at 4:10 pm #731636The hardest one for me was the green and purple line. 😀
September 5, 2008 at 4:55 pm #731637Green, blue, purple messed me up. I got a 15. Of course, I’m on the crappy monitor at work.
September 5, 2008 at 5:11 pm #731638I got a 22! 😯 My worsts were red, and everything in the green to blue range, pretty much, except exactly where blue is.
This would explain why I’m not the greatest artist (and prefer to stick to bright obvious colors…). Also kind of explains why I can’t see light pink. That color that people tell me is *almost* white, but is pink. I think it’s white.

Ditto. I got a 7 and all the errors were in that section.
When I was a little kid I had two jumpers. A green one and a blue one. Sometimes I’d wear one; sometimes I’d wear the other. One day I wanted the one I didn’t have on, but couldn’t find it. When I asked my mom where it was she looked perplexed. “You’ve only got one jumper, and it’s turquoise.”
I actually did better at the hue thing than I’d expected. I think most of my problems with colors is in being unable to name a color I am looking at, or to remember what a named color actually looks like so I can recognise it in the future. You can’t convince me that pink is not purple, for example, but I can recognise that purple isn’t always pink.
September 5, 2008 at 6:34 pm #731640😳 What is “hue order” 😳
Lightest yellow to darkest pink?September 5, 2008 at 6:50 pm #731641I got a 92. I shouldn’t be surprised as I’m Deuteranomaly, but I did feel like I was doing much better than that while I was taking it 😆
Just out of curiosity, I wonder how much individual monitors play a role. Maybe someone who has several monitors can take the test on each one and see if there is a change in scores.
September 5, 2008 at 7:10 pm #731642OK, I think I figured it out. I got a 15. Not bad considering I’m a color reject! I have no clue if one color goes with another!

Lightest yellow to darkest pink? This is a good definition…I can’t really explain it myself!
1. Color or shade of color; tint; dye.
2. A predominant shade in a composition of primary colors; a primary color modified by combination with others.
