I received these as gifts many years ago (1987?), but I reluctantly need to find them good homes.

The first is a black, bat-winged flap cat, 3.5 inches tall, with peacock-colored wings. He’s licking his chops, eyes closed, and looks like he just made off with the canary. He appears flawless.

The second is a large wizard in a creamy white and gold color combination, complete with his Swarovski crystal ball. There is one small ding in the trim of the wizard’s robe on his right side.

I’m still researching what would be reasonable prices on these, and will update as soon as I can. Thanks again.[/img]

You have to have a few more posts before you can put up pictures… 5, I think? Just respond a few more times and you should be good to go.

Good luck selling your pieces. Any idea how much you’re looking to get for them?

Also with pictures they have to be hosted somewhere online.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you get a good price for your pieces!

I hope you get good prices too, although I really want a flapcat, I will probably never be able to afford one. Respond to some of the happy birthday posts maybe… haha that’s how I got my first few!

Thanks for the information and the welcoming words. I do have pics in Photobucket for uploading, but will be happy to wait until I’m fully fledged before doing so.

The other question I have is where do you look to find out what a resonable price is for a retired piece like the flap cat?

        Again, thank you.

Well since the online database is currently down I’ll have to go through and do the math manually. Since you are new here you might not know about the database that tracked sales of windstone pieces on ebay since Oct. 1, 2006. Give me some time and I will try to get the average selling prices of the pieces you are listing for you soon.

There have been 35 mint Black Bat Winged Flap Cats since Oct. 1, 2006. Highest went for $364.00; Lowest went for $21.50. Average Price: $58.29

There have been 4 non mint White Large Wizards since Oct. 1, 2006. Highest went for $102.50; Lowest went for $47.91. Average Price: 79.63. (Just so you know in that same time period there were only 9 mint White Large Wizards. High: $258.87; Low: $76.51; Average: $147.86)

Holy guacamole! Did a small black bat winged flapper really go for $364.00? That is incredible! I hope whomever got it, that it was worth it! Id say it might have been a piece to finish a collection with that sale price, but it’s easy to see with minimal research that those guys come up on ebay easy enough. What a killing the seller made!

LOL1955, welcome to the forum and good luck with your sales!

Yep, there was one that really went for that high. Someone was wanting it very badly.

I’m learning so much about these beautiful forms that I’m now even MORE reluctant to let go of my two little beauties! Someone’s signature here speaks about Windstones being addictive, and I think that may be true!! πŸ˜†
