ok first time noticing the food section so i have to post. this is my favorite recipe that i have made up so far.
this is a stove top recipe
ingredients you will need
tgi fridays pina calada mix (over the rock) make sure it has rum in it.
butter
dried chilis or chili powder
2 limes
tilapiafor the sauce you want to have to your pan on a medium low heat take a slice of butter enough to coat the bottom of the pan evenly (smart balance workds to) add 3 table spoons of pina calada mix and juice from half of one lime. let mix heat enough to simmer. then put the fish in the pan. juice other half of the lime and pour juice over the fish. turn heat to low and put lid on pan. periodicly check fish, when the meat starts flaking the fish is fully cooked. uncover pan take a pinch of chili powder and sprinkle over fish. and serve. 😀
this recipe is verry good with some white rice and steamed zucini and other squshes.

talapia is generally ok to when frozen it doesn’t change the taste but make sure the fish isn’t really small for some reason the small talapia taste funny
September 7, 2008 at 3:28 am #728228We tried this recipe last week. It turned out ok, but I have to admit I didn’t quite follow the recipe (left out the rum and chilis ).
It did prompt me to do a little experimenting though. I took chicken strips, tenderized them, and marinated them in the pina colada mix. I cooked them on the stove top with some of the pina colada mix. Served with rice and fresh, grilled pineapple. My husband loved it! I thought it could be a bit better. Next time I’ll grill the chicken.
