Really random question, but I have Terminex coming by the house tomorrow to spray my whole house and yard for fleas. For whatever reason they are particularly bad this year and even though EVERYONE if Frontlined, a HUGE colony of fleas seem to have made themselves a nest in my basement. Anywho, I’m nervous enough with my whole collection exposed to a bunch of strangers spraying for bugs in my home when I’m not there, but do you think the poison will harm the finish on Windstones at all??
Unfortunately, we have to leave the premises and take all our critters along for at least 4 hours because of the poison and of course I’m worring about my Windstones. LOL! Anyway,I’m covering them with plastic just to be safe, but I guess I was just curious. I’m just hoping none of them get chipped, but if they do Terminex heads shall roll! 👿

I would cover them up alright.. any weird kind of solvents could damage the surface if it gets directly on them. I would put plastic over your collection and tape it securely around them. You can pretend it is to keep the toxic stuff off, but it is also to keep reckless(or sticky) hands off of them.
Not to be a paranoia monger, but I have heard many stories of Windstones turning up missing after workers have been in the house. Maybe even use opaque plastic, so the pieces aren’t visible.
You need to ask the bug guys if the stuff they will be spraying around could possibly damage anything. I don’t know!Windstones going missing when workers in the house??
*reminds self that next time something breaks in the apartment, to hide my Windstones really well*
It’s a small collection… I would notice if something went missing, and I don’t trust our landlady. Especially after they almost lost the cat. 👿
Wow! Good thing I asked. Thank you for the information!!! I was also thinking of “sticky” fingers too. I packed up most of the smaller pieces just in case of that. 😉

Is it at all possible for you to at least take your e-bay Windstone pieces and your LP pieces with you or put them someplace safe? I tend to lock my door when I have strangers over 😆 but I can see why you can’t in this instance.
My tabby chicks are packed and coming WITH ME! They’re so little and pocket-sized I think I’d KILL someone if they went missing. My Black Emerald Peacock Old Warrior is back in his box and stuffed deep in a closet so he won’t be in eyesight or close *peeking around* distance. Other then that I don’t have much limited stuff besides my Sunburst Griffin who is in a locked glass case so unless they want to break into it he should be safe.
I just finished wrapping blue painters tape over and around my shelves so nothing can get at them. I’m just worried about them waving those bug stink sticks(that’s my term, I made it up) and whacking the ones on the lower shelves and damaging them. All that’s left is my Peacock Keeper, but she has so much plastic on her she’s not even recognizable. LOL!

Well it wasn’t specifically the landlady who almost lost the cat (though I don’t trust the people she hires) they were going in to do some last minute stuff on the apartment (it had been empty for almost 2 weeks, they should have been FINISHED cleaning, no matter how bad it was), and they left the door open, and the cat got out. Oh I was pissed. 👿 They KNEW I had a cat, and they KNEW I had put her in there already.
I told them to tell me if they are going in again, so that I can put the cat where she can’t get out if they leave the door open.
Yea, I’d have to hurt them if that happened to my kitty.

LOL! I knew it couldn’t have been the insect killer! I should have just had you come hear to clear the place frozen! haha 😉
I don’t NOTICE anything missing which is good. I need to keep checking though. You can’t be too careful! Kind of random…my underwear drawer was opened 😯 I suppose I do prefer perverts over thieves.
