I am asking this because of the thread about gifts and the turn it took to what we share with each other. Personally I dont share alot of stuff here because it is so public. But I do on another forum because we have a special room. A room that you have to be over 18 to get into have have a certain number of posts before you are approved to gain access. We do it that was because random people can not look then, it is more comfortable, and we can swear πŸ˜› .

So if it were possible would anyone be open this idea?

***I dont know if it can be done here.

My issue with unwillingness to share hasn’t got anything to do with ‘random people’ it has to do with long standing forum members who haven’t exactly been kind to me. They would no doubt be included in any private room here as well.

And my particular issues just now have to do with things that I suspect would make many nice and kind people here uncomfortable as well. So I keep them in my own space, where I know everyone there is at least able to tolerate my oddities.

Sorry, not here. I am also registered on another forum specific to what I am dealing with. I’m afraid one here would include to many people “outside the loop” so to speak. That being said I have no problem venting over a bad day or asking for a bit of advice when needed. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜†

I think having a private area would make this forum seem a little too cliquey and maybe even put off new registrants if they knew about it. I think it would be a bad idea personally.

I said, “No.” I think we already share a lot of personal stuff, and I don’t think alienating anybody is a good practice to get into.

I don’t think this is a good idea. Not to sound elitist, but I like to try and think we’re a little bit different than many forums out there. You guys are a good group- responsible, mature, and for the most part we don’t succumb to many of the pitfalls that many forums have. Let’s keep it that way! πŸ™‚

We are a social group, but a group that includes all (that follow the rules) or none. Save the cursing and private personal stuff for your blog or journal sites! πŸ™‚

*shrugs* I have a journal site for all the grouchy stuff, and other general purpose weirdness. πŸ™‚

I tried to click no, but hit yes instead. Stupid computer.

It would be a bad idea… especially if people have a problem with other people on the forum knowing. If it’s too personal, I try not to post it. There’s two things I posted about, there’s probably a hundred I haven’t.

I voted No only because whether it’s a private room or public forum, I prefer not to share or discuss my personal problems or rants on the internet. So having the room would make no difference to me.

I have online and real life friends that I vent to(at/with) when I have the need… I just have problems airing personal issues in public… And no matter how private the group, it’s still public.

I voted no because I don’t vent anyway.
