Has anyone else seen this? I went to it tonight, and I absolutely, under no circumstances, would EVER recommend it to anyone. I love M. Night’s movies (except for some lukewarm feelings about Unbreakable), but this was just like…the worst. To say the very least. The acting was just like…wow. Bad. Bad like whoa. I seriously cannot figure out what he was thinking when he made this movie.
If you absolutely can’t resist watching it, wait for it to come to a dollar theater, or better yet, just rent it, so you can take a break from the suck-ness when you need to.

I will get it on Netflix when it comes out, if nothing else I can laugh at how bad it is. Like my choice of “Bug” for last nights movie-one of the worst movies ever O_o

I was totally sucked in by Bug too. o.O; That was some freaky…stuff. *coughs* But yeah, I was really looking forward to The Happening. I’ve been waiting for it since I first saw a poster up in the theater. Talk about a letdown. x_X You probably will laugh. Everyone in the theater was. >_>;;
June 16, 2008 at 4:08 am #714567Ok I’m never this harsh, but this movie made me want to shoot myself. Plain and simple, it sucked.
June 16, 2008 at 4:12 am #714568I don’t like all new horrors… I laughed at The Mist… heh heh heh heh…… 😆
So I get don’t see it at all then, got it!
June 16, 2008 at 5:56 am #714569That bad? I was planning on watching it, but I might rethin kthat plan now. 😕 I hear Lady in the Water was bad too – I guess M. Night isn’t up to snuff anymore.

I liked Lady in the Water but we’ll wait for The Happening to come out on DVD.
We were thinking it might not be very good, since so many spoilers came out before release.

June 16, 2008 at 10:05 am #714571My husband and I watched it Friday night and yeah, it pretty much sucked! And the acting was terrible. I’ve seen Mark Walburg and Zoe Dushmel (I probably just slashed their names) in other movies and could not believe how bad their acting was in this movie. I was really looking forward to this movie comming out and even watch a making of the movie (which was better than the movie itself!). If you just have to see it for yourself, wait for dvd! If you don’t care to see it but want to know what the hell it was that was doing the killing then just PM me 😉

All Shamallama-Dingdongs movies look awsome in the preview but seem to fall short in the theater, i wont be wasting my 10 bucks on him
June 16, 2008 at 3:11 pm #714573Lady in the Water was totally different from the rest; it was a “fairytale”. So far, I’ve liked all his stuff, though The Sixth Sense is by far the best one, in my opinion.
So duly noted, we’ll wait for the DVD.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I’ve really liked “Signs,” “Unbreakable,” and “Lady in the Water.”
June 16, 2008 at 4:55 pm #714575To me, his movies have great build up and then they are just done.
“Sixth Sense” had less build up but a better pay off.June 16, 2008 at 6:27 pm #714576Im glad I saw Incredible Hulk instead. What a bummer. It looked so good in the previews, but as was noted above, they always do.
June 17, 2008 at 6:48 am #714577Sixth Sense was awesome. That’s still the best ending I’ve ever seen in a movie.
