Do you like peaches?

Oooo, yum! Peaches…. My gram’pa used to make the yummiest peach ice cream ever. We always had it for the fourth of July, while we sat on the roof of the house to watch the fireworks…

Actually I’m not a big fan of peaches. Never developed the taste for them. As for when they are in season I’m not really sure, but I think they are coming into season now. There’s a huge orchard I pass on the way to my parents house and their Web site says they started shipping peached June 11.

I may not like peaches, but I do like another staple crop that grows in Georgia – pecans! Mmmmm so good. I ought to get in touch with my aunt. She owns my grandfather’s house now that he passed away and he had several pecan trees in his yard that produced the yummiest pecans.

It’s funny, until I moved to Georgia I never tried pecan pie. It never looked appetising. After I did though I decided to give it a chance and now I’ll never let a Thanksgiving pass by without eating a slice. 😆

I used to sit on the roof to watch fireworks on the first of July at my parents!!!! We’d invite half the town over it seemed, there’d be 25 people on the roof… except my dad, he’s a scared-y cat when it comes to heights! 😆

I love peaches! I like nectarines better though, the fuzz on peaches gets to me after awhile…

Pecan pie is just too sweet for me. Love my apple pie though.

funny enough…I love peach flavored stuff…or stuff with peaches in it..but I dont like peaches by theirselves. I love peach tea, peach ice cream..etc etc…but not just peaches… 😕
