I suppose Victoria Day yes, I don’t think that one’s particularly weird though.

And snap I am working right now. I just have the day off today because I was doing school and vet stuff.

Our elementary school and high school located in Pulaski County Illinois get Count Pulaski day off.

Utah has Pioneer Day. It’s on the 24th of July and it commerates the day that the first Mormon Pioneers entered the Great Salt Lake Valley. It’s a state wide celebration. No one goes to work or school or whatever. There is always a huge parade with floats and everything and then fireworks in the evening. The parade is such a big deal that people camp out along the parade route for a couple of nights so that they can assured that they have a good spot to watch 😯

During the festival half of the church year (from Advent to Pentecost) we have all sorts of random days off for specific religious occasions. Those days vary from canton to canton – the Catholics get more vacation than we do.
