Husky PYO Wolf Charity Auction

I was approached by a forum member asking if I could donate some of my time to help fund raise some money for a Husky rescue group; specifically for the vet bills of one dog. The group is not-for-profit “Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue, Inc.” and the dog is Jax- you can read his story here: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10573739&mtf=1

Well, how could I say no? Our family has two rescued huskies and I love the breed. So I took some time and did up a PYO winged wolf to look like a husky. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Northern Lights Sled Sog Rescue. You can check out their page; they are a real registered 501(c)3 organization. I’m not making a penny off of this!

How this will work:

I’m still hammering out the little details, but I think we’ll probably work it like this: Winner will pay shipping to me directly so I can ship it, and then will pay the final winning price directly to the Rescue Group (they do Paypal). That way no money is lost to Paypal fees and you know that the money went to them. I may need to change how this works depending but I’ll post here when I get the details worked out.

So, I will take offers or ‘bids’ if you will until 12 Midnight EST on Saturday June 7th, 2008. That means once the clock ticks past 11:59PM EST on the 7th, we’re done, just to be clear. I need to be clear- this PYO winged wolf is offered direct from me, Jennifer Miller, and NOT from the Windstone Factory. They have nothing to do this this one. 😉

This fellow is very pretty. He’s painted with white, cream, and varying shades of dark brown grey and black to create husky markings. He’s got light blue glass eyes and a subtle blue flash to his wing banding. His felt pad is signed by myself with the date, and “Husky PYO wolf #1”. I might do more like him in the future (including official listings from Windstone direct) but since I custom mix all my colors no other will be exactly like him.

I will doodle a little certificate up to go with him- note that this is offered from me, and not from the Windstone Factory.

I ordinarily cannot sell my painted Windstones so this is kinda a rare opportunity if you like this guy. Any more I do will probably be through eBay as official Windstone listings. (again, this one is not official from the Factory).
