On topic thread please. This thread will document the time line for the server move and any changes to the plans, and any pictures I can provide.
In about 20 minutes a truck is going to pull up with some very heavy, very expensive equipment that will make me the envy of geeks everywhere.

Hells YES.
Total 115 boxes and 14 racks.
I guesstimate the batteries on that cart weigh about 800 lbs.

Isn’t it nice when fun toys like new racks come in? I’m just glad I didn’t have to help move racks across one of our buildings when they closed down one of the server rooms and consolidated to the main room (there is plenty of room there to grow, so it’s all good. Benefit of working off hours I suppose. Some of the servers are just old monsters! Some of them seriously need to be transferred to something newer and the old ones decommissioned!

Because the HVAC guys are coming tomorrow to move pipes in my room, I’m not going to unpack any of it today. I’m actually going to go home and come in early tomorrow.
No buttons (yet) but there’s some 225A breakers in the PDU that require both my hands to lift on.
