I realize the last thing you want to hear is another production color suggestion, but I’m ‘squeeking’ a little about it :). Pink seems to be popular color suggestion, but what about purple? I have to admit, with the exception of Autumn Leaf dragons possibly coming into production (fingers, toes and eyes crossed!) if a purple line of dragons came out I would FREAK .

May 7, 2008 at 8:22 pm #698287I have to agree with that, Purplecat, Peacock was always my first fav color π But there have been Emeralds, Rubies and Golds to mention a few. I thought purple would be a nice addition π . Maybe after fifty years or so, we can have a rainbow convoy, a dragon representing every color π .
May 7, 2008 at 8:32 pm #698288[deep] Purple is my favorite color. If a purple line came out, I wouldn’t know what to do. Specially since I don’t have the money to finish my black/gold collection π― But I would love a purple line.

Maybe a Royal Purple…with bright yellow eyes….like the deep purple iris. π
May 7, 2008 at 9:01 pm #698290I second the purples…Deep purples that is. Not the peacock type of purple. Peacock was pretty don’t get me wrong, but deeeeep purple….*drools*
May 7, 2008 at 9:58 pm #698291I concur with the purple. It’s also my favourite colour. The deep purple idea sounds great but I think also a Lavender Pearl like the curled dragons would be equally as nice. π
May 7, 2008 at 10:23 pm #698292Purple has always been the hardest color to paint and get right for me. Melody, have you experienced this too? Maybe it’s not so bad with airbrushes.

My art: featherdust.comMay 8, 2008 at 12:20 am #698293When I suggested purple I was thinking of a nice dark color. Maybe a transtitional kind of paint job, a light colored tummy that darkens as you go to the back. I invisioned bluish purples to plum colors. Maybe even a ivory colored tummy π Yellow eyes would be awsome, and the best color choice, in my opinion, for a dark purple dragon π . I could see how purple would be a hard color to get right. I wonder to if the paint is particularly expensive? I know certain colors can be.
May 8, 2008 at 12:57 am #698294Red is the color that kills me to paint with….I can NEVER get it right….ugh… π π

Ohhh, I agree red can be a bear to work with!
I hear that! The Ki-Rin I did for Kujacker was the first time I got a red to turn out how I wanted. I bet if it was over a white base rather than a black base, it wouldn’t have looked so good though. πMay 8, 2008 at 4:09 am #698298gray base is the best to do with red… π
