Is anyone else having issues with PayPal’s current inability to accept credit card payments?? It’s been locked up now for 3 days!

Hmm, that’s odd. There have been a few times in the past where Paypal would lock up on me, when I tried to send payment for something. I would just try again the next day, and it would work. But 3 days straight sucks! I haven’t needed to use my CC through Paypal in a while… but will need to pretty soon here. I hope they get it fixed! Paypal can be such a pain in the butt sometimes! 😡
I haven’t had a reason to send or recieve payments in the last few days so I haven’t noticed anything. Hopefully everything will be fixed before I do.
Didn’t they just do a re-format of some kind? I know I “accidentally” sent a payment from one of my accounts instead of the credit card I’d intended to use. I think there was something about payment options if I recall correctly.
Yea, I used it last week, (but not a CC) and it was fine. But haven’t had to use it lately. Hope you get it all figured out soon
I just used it yesterday (cc) and it worked fine for me…I hope it’s solved soon for you guys.
Edit: 😕 That’s weird I never received an email confirmation for the payment by PayPal. But I verified in my PayPal account and it was completed.
So yes it worked for me.Basically my account got put in negative, so I went to use my ATM/CC to correct the overage and it said it could not take CC payments at this time, but accepted my checking account. Problem with that is, the payment won’t clear off the PayPal account until the 6th, nevermind that I checked with my bank and PayPal already has the money. My account is still locked up solid until they decide to clear it.
Meanwhile I have three saddle blankets and a saddle I can’t pay for until then. I am not happy…things won’t get shipped until Wed at the earliest now, and if they weren’t playing games they could be on their way here on MOnday.
Anyway, I wondered how many others out there were unable to use a CC to make a payment through them.

I haven’t been able pay with PayPal for a few days now either, but I think it’s because transferring money from my bank account to my credit card takes a while.
I used it Saturday night to pay with a cc. No problems there. I haven’t had to pay for anything since though, so can’t say if that would affect anything else for me.
mine usually just pulls from my checking, if the money’s not already in paypal…so I dont think I’ve ever actually tried using a CC there…so I dont know. 😕
I did a couple PayPal transactions this weekend, but it was from my bank account.

There was one situation about a month back, where I was short a few bucks in my Paypal account… and just decided to do an instant transfer from my checking account to cover the balance. So I did that, and the person got their money. But I couldn’t remove my credit card from my account. It said that a backup funding source cannot be removed while I have a pending transaction. I didn’t understand that, cause they got the money and it’s an instant transfer. I called Paypal a few days later, when I still couldn’t remove the card. (I just don’t like leaving in on file). The guy I talked to said that what happened is Paypal paid the balance for me to the lady. They are withdrawing the money from my account to pay them back for it, and it takes about a week to clear. Even for just a couple bucks. They need to have a CC on file as a backup funding source, if for some reason the account withdrawal doesn’t clear. That way… they could just charge my CC. I never knew about all this before. I just though that instant transfer meant that I instantly paid the balance owed, that may PP balance wouldn’t cover. Nothing else to it. I hate it when stuff is stuck in pending. It’s a real pain!

This is exactly what happens. Transferring money around takes time. 🙁
