I don’t want to go so I need someone to go in my place. I’m just sick of weddings. After all the drama with my friends wedding planning I just don’t feel like going to any of them. My brother is getting married tomorrow and I know it sounds horrible but I just don’t want to go. I think part of it is because my family is going all out for his wedding but when I got married they wouldn’t do a thing. Everyone is getting all done up and talking about it and while I’m happy for my brother I’m irritated that no one cared about my wedding. I guess I’m just jealous.
I’m off to get my nails done for the wedding. Lets see if they laugh at my feet this time like they did the last time I had a pedicure done.
Poor girl. My parents were like that. My brother had a nice wedding and then my parents threw a separate party for them for all their (my parent’s) friends that couldn’t make it.
When I was talking about my getting married, my mother said, “Why don’t you just go to City Hall, it’s so much cheaper”. Yeah, thanks mom. 🙄

I do not think parents want to deal with a second wedding. However, yours (purpledoggy) was the first. There is no excuse for how they behaved. I hope you are able to have fun.
I can relate to how you’re feeling. Iguess, just go for yor brother’s sake, and I hope it won’t be too bad. It’s hard not to think about it though. And I hope no one laughs at you-I don’t see why they should.
Oh, Purpledoggy, I’m sorry to hear about how your parents treated you. It sounds like he is their favorite child, and you suffered because of it. As everyone else said, you should go. You can’t help feeling resentment, but remember, it’s at your parents, not your brother. I’m sure he’d want you to be there.

the ladies who give my mom a pedicure lecture her lol she walks around barefoot all the time and it makes your feet callous(sp?) and hard, and they have to work hard to scrape all the dead skin off. She’s also got yucky toe nails and I’d hate to be the one who’d have to cut those suckers O.O

The last time I had a pedicure done I was pregnant and my feet where really swollen. I guess they had never seen swollen pregnant feet before. I went to a new place today and they didn’t laugh at me.
Your parents should be ashamed of themselves for not treating both of you alike. Go to your brother’s wedding for his sake and avoid your panents if possible. As for the pedicure – enjoy it. I don’t understand why anyone would laugh at you for that anyway. Good Luck
I don’t know why they where laughing I couldn’t understand what they were saying. I was so big and bloated I didn’t care and just wanted someone to rub my feet lol. I have to go to the rehersal dinner tonight and the wedding is tomorrow evening. My mom has already asked me to video tap it and wants me to pick up a copy of the paper because she put an announcement in it. Danny is pissed because she didn’t video tape our wedding or put out and announcement and he says she is just having me do these things to rub it in my face. I don’t really care, he is the one getting all bent out of shape about it. I would have alot more fun if my mom wasn’t there but I am looking forward to free food lol.
