About a month ago maybe a bit more I sent a check to buy 3 Windstones from a guy off Craigslist. He seemed very nice, I explained about packaging them well etc. He said he’d e-mail me when he got the check and again when it cleared. About 2 weeks ago he e-mailed me and said they had shipped. About a week ago I e-mailed saying I still hadn’t got them- he e-mailed back saying USPS said about a 7 day delivery time (and they were all in one box- uh-oh!) Well I e-mailed him again a few days ago and said I still hadn’t gotten them please e-mail me a receipt or tracking number within 48 hours. Nothing. Today I e-mailed and told him I will be filing mail fraud and calling the police in his town to figure this out. Haven’t heard anything yet. Now, to find that piece of paper where I had his address written down to mail the check to so that I can call the police there.
Wow, lots of people seem to be getting burned on Craigslist lately. No real advice for you. Good luck getting things sorted out. 😕

Leigha- can I ask his name? That’s what I paid too. This guys’ name is Robert Pringle. And reading that I would put money on it it’s the same guy. Oh boy. And these were ones I really wanted to 🙁 I needed the male he’s one of the few peacocks I don’t have. Do you have his phone number I’ve misplaced it (if it is the same guy) And please, file a report on him at ic3.gov I just did
If you read on page two of the thread you will see Leigha dealt with Robert Pringle as well. I’m sorry to hear you both got taken in by the same mane.
What link do you follow to report somebody on the ic3.gov page? What action (if any) do they take? Or is it just to warn other people?
It should show you right up front a link to a form to report internet fraud. They will forward the information on to the offenders police department. I don’t know if they’ll do anything or not 👿
