I was wondering if you have ever been to the Dragon-Con art show. Dragon-Con is the largest sci/fi fantasy convention in the country but not to many people know much about it. I just love the art show and I have seen many fantasy artist like Nene Thomas and Amy Brown attend in the past. Do you think you would ever attend?

April 29, 2008 at 8:35 pm #694293I was an attending artist the last two years (as poor Keplilly can attest!) and I had some special Windstones with me there for people to see. I can’t afford to go this year.

There you go! Official attendance is around 30,000 for fire code but actual attendance is closer to 60,000 people. It was very, very packed last year. They kept shutting down parts of the various hotels due to breaking fire code (too many people).

I have more fun at Dragon-Con then I do at Disney World. It’s labor day weekend in Atlanta. And yes as Jennifer said its very very crowded. This shows what a nerd I am but the a few years ago I met the whole cast of the Show Firefly! and I rode on the elevator with the guy who played chewbaca.
Jennifer I am so sorry I missed you the past two years. If only I had started collecting windstone sooner π

I have never gone to any “cons” …oh, except the Deviantart con, if that counts. I have this agoraphobia problem…to many people in one place dressed like Klingons makes me have panic attacks.
I really need to try going to one, sometime. Maybe, when my life smooths out a little, if that ever happens.April 29, 2008 at 10:13 pm #694298awww….cmon Melody!!! The Klingons are fun!!! π
