someone sent me these and I just had to share…
April 20, 2008 at 8:58 pm #495137April 20, 2008 at 9:10 pm #692167π π But I’m not paying $15 shipping for a safety pin.
April 20, 2008 at 9:11 pm #692168well did you see what the bid was up to?
I think I’m gonna go find a straw and a plastic spoon…
April 20, 2008 at 9:13 pm #692169That just proves some people will bid/buy anything.
April 20, 2008 at 9:14 pm #692170Do it, I’m curious to see what you’ll get for them. But then you have to pay the fees if they don’t sell…
April 20, 2008 at 9:17 pm #692171If people are happy paying $25 for a safety pin, more power to them, but does that mean the 500 safety pins I have of all sizes are worth $25 each? I’m sitting on a goldmine! LOL!
I need to put them up on eBay!
I can not believe the things people will pay for…crazy!

April 20, 2008 at 9:22 pm #692172I wonder if I could get $100 for my paper clips?
April 20, 2008 at 9:31 pm #692173I’m curious to see what else the seller is sending as a “gift”…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

You’re not buying the nail or the safety pin – you’re buying the suspense of an unknown accompanying gift (which may not exist but probably does) from someone who knows nothing about you and who you never met.
I’m not big into surprise birthday gifts – I prefer cash or a hug – but some people are. And how many adults ever get a surprise gift from their family? Uncle Eric may surprise you with a woolly hat, but the only surprise is that it’s not a pair of socks.
Sometimes it’s just fun to get something unexpected, even if you have to pay good money to get it.
April 20, 2008 at 9:55 pm #692175I think you’re right, Dave. Both auctions imply extra “gifts” will be thrown in. The idea of extra, mystery gifts is very intriguing. I don’t have money to throw away bidding on surprise gifts, but I suppose there are people out there who do or there wouldn’t be any bids on those auctions. π
April 20, 2008 at 10:40 pm #692176I’m more of a “buy what I’m seeing” kind of person. I don’t like to take those kind of risks. Why spend money on an unknown gift when you can spend money on Windstones, after all? At least you know you’ll like those! π
April 20, 2008 at 11:06 pm #692177I’m not a “mystery auction” person, either. I won’t even go for the ones currently running that say I “might” get a Windstone. With my luck, it would be one I didn’t want anyway. π π
April 20, 2008 at 11:49 pm #692178if you look he says whatever else the winner gets is a GIFT so hes actually probably going to be sending something really nice..i have seen such things done before
