Ok, has anybody know where I can find Kaiser porcelain unicorns? I went to Germany in 2003, and I found some in Oberammergau (I am not sure which gift shop though), and I bought only one. Ever since then I have tried looking for them on Ebay, and on the internet, but I have only had luck with ebay, however I was outbid, and I havent found one since.
GB, I am especially wondering if you know where any might be because you live in Switzerland. Here is a picture of one I own. I guess they can be either color, or pure white like this:

It’s very detailed and beautiful!April 19, 2008 at 5:52 pm #691916Yes, it is by Kaiser Porcelain. I think they are based out of Germany somewhere, and I can always seem to find other pieces by Kaiser, just not any unicorns. I can’t find information about them either-you know, if they are retired or not.
When I was in Oberammergau, I only had about 43 Euros left of all of my spending money, and I walked into a gift shop, and they had a whole glass case with many different Kaiser unicorns. My mouth dropped wide open, and I was praying that I would have enough to get at least one, but all of them were too expensive except for this one because the tip of the horn had broken off, but they still had the broken piece. The woman there said she would sell it to me for 40 Euros. I was so licky! And fortunately enough the broken piece fit on there perfectly after I glued it on. 😀
I was also very fortinate that it survived the rest of our trip around Germany, and the plane ride home. I kept it with me the whole time! But yes, I REALLY want to find more of them, because I know there are more!
April 19, 2008 at 6:04 pm #691917Normally, I dont add anything to anyone’s Wish List that isnt Windstone, but I’ll add this to yours Eagle, as I did for Pip some time ago. You never know; while scanning for Windstones while out or at estate sales, you never know what youll find. And, since it’s a fantasy piece, at sales, they could be lumped together. I’ll try as hard as I can for ya.

Kaiser porcelainI will wait for their reply, but when I emailed them, a copy wen’t to my yahoo account, so I am not sure if I accidentally sent it to myself, or not. I will wait a couple of days, and then re-send it if I haven’t gotten a response.
April 19, 2008 at 10:10 pm #691921I can’t see the pics? Can’t find any unicorns on the website either, but that could be my poor computer skills.
April 20, 2008 at 12:15 am #691922They don’t have the unicorns pictured on the website, but here are some links to the pictures…maybe they’ll show up for you? 😀
