This has probably been asked many times before but will “Reptangle” ever be produced and if so will it be made available in the store?
April 13, 2008 at 7:42 pm #689353I’m pretty sure it isn’t done yet. Melody’s been working on it for years. At one point she was going to post some pages on the forum for us to see, but she hasn’t had time to do that yet. I’d love to read the story of Poads, although they are just a very small part of Reptangle. Melody said that somewhere too. 🙂

I am planning to post the story bit that contains Poads(tm) here soon, somehow. I probably need to get someone like Tom to set up a separate website to stick it on. Tom is our long suffering website wrangler.
Of course, I plan to have the whole story in real books someday, but no way am I messing with real comic book stores! I’ve talked to real comic book publishers about this… the return policies are set up so that small publishers haven’t a chance to succeed financially using the mainstream routes. However I would be totally satisfied to be able to sell a small number of copies directly from a website. Someday. All I need is some dedicated time to do it, and my scanner fixed.
Seems I am always waiting for something to happen before I can get on with this project!
I had sculpted the Poads(tm) to be a promotional thing for Reptangle, but they escaped into the world first, and left me behind!April 13, 2008 at 9:13 pm #689355You might want to go with the “print on demand” option, then, like Lulu.com. I’m not sure if they do comics, though…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Yes they do! and I’ve formatted my art so that it fits the available sizes produced by Lulu just in case I want to go that route. But and however, I have plans to hand retouch each book… this is my secret scheme.. so I would have to buy an inventory myself to mess with, then resell them… ecch, it would be easier to have them printed in the traditional way.

😯 Um… so you may have to clear your schedule for how many years?

😆 I know, I’m dreaming.April 15, 2008 at 7:11 am #689360Well, the idea of the poads being promotional worked just fine, Melody. And it doesn’t look like their novelty will wear off any time soon.
