I mentioned this in another thread, but I don’t want to hijack someone else’s thread, so I am starting this one.
I bought a Peacock Emp off eBay last week. He was intact with the exception of one horn.
He was packed in one box, with styrofoam on both ends (box was an old stereo box) dragon had plenty of wiggle room, so the above picture is what arrived at my place.
Good thing I repair these for a hobby, even after putting him back together I have huge areas that are going to have be rebuilt.
I’ll add some pics of him in his current semi-intact state sometime tomorrow.

I’m sure he’ll turn out beautiful, but still, when you’re expecting just a broken horn and get that…must have been frustrating.

Actually, co0nsidering the guy had no feedback whatsoever, I was actually expecting what I got, but hoping for better. I was mostly frustrated with the fact that I specifically told him to make sure the dragon could not move within his box, and to double box him, and the guy didn’t do it.

March 30, 2008 at 6:19 am #684794What he looks like now, mostly.
The wide swath of white on his right leg is very big, and it’s going to take quite a bit to fill in and retexture. The other side is nearly as bad when it comes to replacing details, but it’s shallower.
Overall, he’s going to be along the lines of NoFace for challenge level.

March 30, 2008 at 7:09 am #684795I sure hope you try to get your money back. Project or not, that Noob does not deserve a free positive.
March 30, 2008 at 7:17 am #684796Ack! 🙁 I’m so sorry that he got to you like that, Kyrin! That’s a real shame.
I’m sure you can fix him up nice though. Good luck!March 30, 2008 at 7:32 am #684797Sorry but at least he is in the right place
March 30, 2008 at 10:58 am #684798😯 Ouch Kyrin that dragon must hurt.
Good thing you are good at repairing these!
Did the seller offer you a refund at least?
He should it’s his fault that this happened since he did not package it right. 😡March 30, 2008 at 1:49 pm #684799Oh that sucks!!! I’d be so upset…whether you repair or not…still, you expect something to arrive in the best condition possible. 😕
March 30, 2008 at 1:51 pm #684800Wow, that’s painful to look at. x_X; I agree, he doesn’t deserve a free positive. At least give him a neutral.
March 30, 2008 at 2:13 pm #684801Hm. Considering your deliberate packaging request and how much you probably shelled out for that statue, the seller should offer to refund your money in full. And I would expect to see my money back before I’d bother to leave any feedback whatsoever. In addition, I’d contact eBay to make sure they help me keep an eye on this messed-up transaction.
If the seller agrees (and s/he should), then I would give him/her a neutral rating once my bank account (or whatever) showed my refund, and let TPTB at eBay know it’s been resolved to your satisfaction.
If the seller gives you a hard time with any of this, I would ask eBay to intervene, then give negative feedback explaining why in the comments section.
That’s upset. You’re handling it waaaaaay better than I would… But then again, I’m an Aries with Scorpio Rising & Moon. LOL.
Good luck! 🙂

He should it’s his fault that this happened since he did not package it right. 😡I sent him an email 2 days ago, nothing.
I gave him 3 days to respond, he is on day three.
We’ll see, but at this rate, my offer of a positive with conditions is going fast.

March 30, 2008 at 2:47 pm #684803Ouch that does hurt to look at. You need any more apoxie sculpt to help fix him? I bought some a while back to fix some minor chips on a small blue wizard and I have so now it’s just sitting here since I don’t sculpt. I’d be more than willing to give it to you.

Wow, Kyrin. You are definitely a nicer person than I. For me, he would have lost the positive the minute I saw that the dragon was smashed even though I’d given precise instructions on how to package it. -
