After our little meeting with our friends hubby and I decided to go out and enjoy the nice weather. We went to the mall and checked out the KB toy store. I wanted to see if they had any of the McFarlane dragons and they had a whole bunch of them for $5! I was so happy because they usually cost $13. I bought 4 of them and now they are sitting on my new computer desk I just got last week. Now I just have to keep my cat away from the dragons since he likes to eat the tails off of them. He ate the tails of all my series one dragons
😥
My new computer desks with the babies bassinet in the middle, lol.

March 24, 2008 at 9:50 pm #681723Yeah, I had them on my short bookcase behind me and he was eating them while I was on the computer. I didn’t find out until it was too late. Now they are up high and right infront of me so if he manages to get to them without me knowing I guess he can eat them 😆
March 24, 2008 at 10:08 pm #681724I hope they stay in perfect condition for you this time

March 24, 2008 at 11:30 pm #681728That’s very cool – dragons and helmet.
My hubby has the McFarlane dragon that is the underwater one with the red blob hanging down in front of its face. He put it in with my kaiyodo goldfish so it looks like it might eat them. 😆
March 24, 2008 at 11:39 pm #681729Cool Darth Vader helmet! I love how Darth Vader is one of the few characters in the Star Wars universe who has had so many different people portray him. If you only take into account the 6 movies and 3 radio broadcasts he had six different actors.
David Prowse was the body in the original three movies. James Earl Jones provided the voice in movies and Sebastian Shaw was the face we saw when Luke removed the helmet. Then there was Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen taking up the roles of Anakin Skywalker in the new movies. Brock Peters provided Vader’s voice in the radio series. No I’m not a Star Wars geek now am I?
March 25, 2008 at 12:42 am #681730David Prowes is no fan of James Earl Jones , he told me at the convention( i stood in line 3 hours for the autograph) that in the origanal credits he wasnt even on them ,only James Earl Jones was credited for darth Vader and his agent had to fight with 20th century fox to get it on there .
i think we would all like to forget the Hayden Christensen one … the NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! at the end of III really made me look at Vader is a new light a sad woosie light 🙁
March 25, 2008 at 12:47 am #681731It’s been a while since I’ve watched the new trilogy. Need to have a marathon one day and watch all six of them back to back. 😯 I haven’t thought about doing that since the Star Wars RPG group I was a part of had to break up due to the GM moving. Those were good times. I met my husband through the group.
It’s a shame that David Prowse is no fan of James Earl Jones, but I can understand being furstrated at not getting credited for one of the biggest SF villans.
March 25, 2008 at 12:50 am #681732well if David had the voice they would not have needed James!!

They said he sounded too british. Nicknamed him darth farmer. Incidentally my friend has the original recording reels of james earl jones doing darth vader. Well the stuff they didn’t use anyway. Probably worth a fortune. His father’s friend found them dumpster diving.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
