I see you added a new Poad to your clutter today!!! π How many do you have now? I’ve lost track!!! π― What is it about Poads that appeal to you so much? Is their cute faces or their big, fat butts??? π Do you think plan to concentrate on Poads or are you going to move on to some other Windstone? π
March 19, 2008 at 1:48 am #680307Yes, I do love Poads(tm)! π I will have 8 after this one. I would have had 10, if I hadn’t of sold 2 of them a while back to help buy other bigger, more expensive Windstones! The Poad(tm) is definitely my most favorite Windstone sculpt though. I do like the dragons alot too… mainly the Spectrals and OWs. And of course the curlies.
Poads(tm) are just the perfect sized collectible for me though. Not too big, but not too small either. They are nice and compact, with no fragile parts sticking out. Thier faces are very cute to me… but I just love the beautiful patterns Melody does on their backs. Especially these new lacey ones. Such beautiful work she did on this one I have already. (Purple Lace Poad) Very delicate lace lines, with the touches of color along her dorsal stripe. She looks natural… yet just enough color to make her eye catching. They all look great though, and I wish I could have every single one she does. But I’d be broke a while ago if I tried! π I’ve lost out on a few in the past that I really wanted… but it was probably for the best. I’m glad lots of the other people are showing the love for Poads(tm). I’ll continue to collect them as long as Melody keeps making them. π
March 19, 2008 at 2:15 am #680308I love them too!!! Except for the lace and tiger Poads, I have one of each type. I’ll get lace and tiger ones eventually. π I’ll have to say I’m really partial to my white & silver Poad so far. π
March 19, 2008 at 8:05 am #680309Hmmm… Star… why dont you let her in on the email you sent me?? π
I love poads cuz the cat cant knock em over.
Have you posted a pic of your clutter? I’d like to see. With or without a pizza is fine.
March 19, 2008 at 3:52 pm #680310I still need to post a pic of my clutter.Β Every time I go to do it… I end up buying another one! πΒ I’ll just need to post updated pics, as my collection grows I guess.
As far as the LP ones go… I’d have to say that the Silver and White one is my favorite too. And my Burnt Sugar one is a close second. π
March 19, 2008 at 3:55 pm #680311Mos Def… thats why we have, like, 5 show your Windstone collection topics π They keep changing!
March 19, 2008 at 4:57 pm #680312I like the little fat things too. I wasn’t going to get sucked in, but I did anyway. Now I have three (yes, I gave in and bought a Burnt Sugar poad). I have named my poads. They are Georgi, Gina, and Ginger.
Have you named your poads?
March 19, 2008 at 10:44 pm #680313I bet the Burnt Sugar one is named Ginger! π
I haven’t named any of mine yet. Guess I should start though!
March 20, 2008 at 12:49 am #680314Well, my son and I have named our Poads. The green eyed Butternut is Nudge, the lavender eyed Butternut is Peanut, the blue metallic is Pudge, the silver & white one is Winter and the black peacock one is Darkstar. (Can you guess which one of us came up with the name Darkstar??) My Burnt Sugar isn’t here yet. π
March 20, 2008 at 1:03 am #680315Those are good names! Darkstar? Hmmmm… I’m gonna guess that was your idea?
I need to get all mine lined up in front of me, and start thinking up some good names. Is Nutter Butter a good name for the Butternut one? π I really like those cookies.
March 20, 2008 at 1:11 am #680316Nutter Butter sounds really cute!! π
My son came up with Darkstar. I think it he got it from Halo or something. Also, he insists Darkstar is a boy!!! π
I was thinking about Nutmeg for my Burnt Sugar, but I have to see her first. π
March 20, 2008 at 1:20 am #680317Ah, I though you came up with it because of your forum name. Still a good name your son picked though! Some of the Poads look like they should be male to me. Like the Butternut and Metallic Blue one. For a while there… I didn’t even know that they were all female. I think GB was the one who finally clued me in to the fact that they are all female. I have always just referred to my things as male. My stuffed animals when I was little, my car… even my plants! Growing up with all male dogs probably had something to do with it too. π
March 20, 2008 at 2:29 am #680318Yep. My Burnt Sugar one is Ginger. Georgi is the Green-eyed Butternut one, and Gine is the Silver and White one.
I like some of the name you guys came up with. Pudge and Nudge and Nutter Butter. Those are fun.
March 20, 2008 at 7:26 am #680319I’d like to see a pic of your current clutter, travistie. π
