Hi Melody. Sorry to bother you but I just noticed something. Not sure where this should get posted. I was looking at my IVEP Spectrals and noticed that my riser doesn’t have a jewel on his head but the sitting one does. Is he supposed to? Do the other risers have one? Do the regular ones?
March 17, 2008 at 4:57 am #679832I know the regular spectrals have a jewel, but I don’t have a riser so…
March 17, 2008 at 5:13 am #679833My peacock riser doesn’t have a jewel, and there’s no sign of a spot for one. How funny–I never really looked before. 😛
March 17, 2008 at 8:55 am #679834The Risers don’t have jewels. If yours is without, he’s normal. If he had one, he’d be special.
March 17, 2008 at 8:41 pm #679835Okay, thanks. I just thought it was odd. I mean I can understand that the OW doesn’t have one, probably lost it in a fight. But the Riser is the one other one that’s missing a jewel then.
March 17, 2008 at 8:48 pm #679836Are we to assume that the riser is the male, and the sitter is a female? Or can they be whatever we want them to be? I don’t know if this was ever asked before or not.
Also, what does a Kinglet grow up to be?

In the ebay auctions, both spectrals were referred to as male. Also in the store both of their descriptions are male. They both look male too 🙂
March 18, 2008 at 7:06 am #679838My Spectrals are all “he.” I doubt it matters, though.

Maybe they are genderless-neutral…like the Zebra in Robert Shure’s poem “Zebra” (doubt anyone will catch that reference, so I’ll post the lyrics tomorrow when it’s not 3AM)

Do you know why he doesn’t have a jewel? I simply forgot to make a place for one. By the time I noticed that the sitting spectral had one, the Riser was finished and I didn’t want to mess up his nice head by cramming a jewel spot in where it didn’t fit..

You’d think I would of made them be a male and female pair of spectral dragons. I think of the Kinglet as male too. ‘Cause he is a KING-let, not a queenlet.
March 18, 2008 at 9:02 pm #679842I think of my Kinglet as male for the same reason!!! 😆 😆 😆
March 18, 2008 at 11:51 pm #679843There was a female king of egypt you know. It’s happened before.
Hatshepsut was her name.
March 19, 2008 at 1:58 am #679844Yes, I think of the Kinglet as a male too. But was wondering what he would look like as an adult. He kinda looks like he would grow up to be an OW. But, he would need to lose his jewel, and grown some bigger horns.
