Karli was wrestling with the dog, this consists of her holding a stuffed toy and Ein growling and carrying on trying to get it. Finally after about 5 minutes of continuous ferocious sounds from the dog, her father decides to call the play quits and calls out to Karli.
Daddy sternly, “Karli?”
Karli said brightly, “Yeesh!” While getting up and running to where he’s sitting.
So here Daddy is, trying to be stern and in lecture mode to tell Karli not to tease the dog. And I start laughing…he’s all “What?” I said, “Weren’t you paying attention, you called her, and she answered, “Yes!” He blinks, “hey, she did! I didn’t even think about it!” We both start laughing.
The reason this is so humorous is usually we call her and she does one of two things, either she ignores us, or comes running. Never before has she given a verbal response, and this one was funny cause she was all, “Yes” with the silent “you wanted me?” attached. Which was what triggered our mirth.
Anyway, perhaps we’re weird, but I thought it was funny.
