March 4, 2008 at 7:03 pm #674181Oh lord, I just noticed that I’m the next one!!! 😳 Isn’t there some kind of warning for this! 😛
Well, here goes… I am 26, and will be married 3 years this April. I don’t have any children yet. Our dog is enough to deal with right now in our 1 bedroom apartment! 😆 Man, I really hope we can get a house next year. Anyway, her name is Schatzie, and she is a very spoiled bassett hound. She thinks the couch belongs to her.
For occupation… I am a financial aid grant processor, for a university that also provides online courses for students. I like it pretty good, and it is rewarding knowing that I am helping students achieve their goals in life. My husband gets to work from home with his job, while I gotta deal with Atlanta traffic every Monday thru Friday to get to and from mine. That setup just doesn’t seem right to me. 😕 😆
My hobbies… besides collecting Windstones, would include – drawing (mostly bird/owl related), taking road trips, collecting artglass and owl figurines. I actually haven’t been collecting Windstones for all that long. I had several pieces a few years ago… but ended up selling them, cause I got into model horses. That got old after a while though. 🙄 I just decided to check out the Windstone website one day, a little less than a year ago… and discovered this forum. I was amazed, and found about Poads(tm)! I have to admit the the Poads(tm) are what brought be back to collecting Windstones! I now have 7 of them, and quite a few dragons too. I can’t imagine I’ll ever get tired of collecting these things. I’m hooked big time!
Me and my husband’s goal is to visit all 50 states. He’s been to about 80% of them so far… and I have some catching up to do. We’ll be crossing a big one off both our lists in May though, with a trip to Hawaii. I am very excited, and have some serious saving up to do! I’m hoping we can do Alaska next year. If we get a house though… that will probably need to wait a quite a while.
Besides all that… there’s really not much else to tell. My life isn’t really all that exciting. I love seafood, and my favorite color is aqua blue. LOST is my favorite TV show, and my favorite all time movie is The Great Escape. I like Steve McQueen movies. What else… oh, I’m also a leukemia survivor! I’ve been in remission for about 10 years now. And may it continue! 😀
Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I’m a little shy… but will pop in here as often as I can to keep up. 🙂
March 4, 2008 at 7:11 pm #674182Hey Hawaii in May??? I will be there! When? Perhaps we can get together? I will just be getting there the beginning of May, but maybe we can swing lunch and some pics, hu?

I’ll be there starting 5/28, and will fly back home on 6/3. I gotta remember which island we’ll be on though. I think it’s Oahu, but I think my husband was thinking about trying to go over to Maui too. Not sure if we will though. I wish we were staying longer… but I have lousy vacation time.
March 4, 2008 at 8:04 pm #674184I ought to have a house by then, but no furniture 😆 Let me know what island you will be on. I think I will be on the big one.

Okay, will do! It would so cool if we could get togther for lunch or something. We have nothing planned when we get there. We’re just going to explore, and see what we find. Guess I outta do some research before we get there! 😆 I’m really looking forward to tasting some different food, and doing some shopping of course! I would love to meet up with you though. I’ll let you know for sure, once we get everything all set.
March 4, 2008 at 8:42 pm #674186Me and Justin are looking forward to swimming with the sharks. Well, I am anyway. 😆

I will not be anywhere near sharks! I’ll be lucky if I step foot in the ocean at all while I’m there!

Hawaii was GREAT but I was not able to do much sight seeing when I wsa there. I wsa there for a charity event on Ohau. I was on teh commercial side of the island and not too impressed.
I’d LOVE to go back one day though and see more real Island thingsMarch 5, 2008 at 4:01 am #674191Hawaii is at its best when you find hidden treasures like Bellows beach. I used to live there and we got to see sea turtles coming into shore. The commercial stuff is cool for a day or two but go see something like the North Shore on Oahu. It is gorgeous!!
