Was just wondering if you’ve done any M.C. Escher type renderings of your dragons, griffins, poads etc? If so, have they been published in poster form and if not would you maybe try one or two? (def. after the move) ‘Cause I’d like something like that and I bet you’d be brilliant at it!

twindragonsmum 😀What is “Escher type”? I did some black and white scratch board prints of dragons awhile back, (but not with his perfectionist quality of course!)

March 2, 2008 at 9:50 pm #673043Ah, tessellations. Those are a booger to do!
What’s rather interesting is that you called him the ‘father of graphic arts’ but we certainly didn’t study him in our History of Design class.
MC Escher is more an artist then a graphic artist, I think. He’s one of my favorites though!
March 3, 2008 at 12:13 am #673044That’s just what my prof called him but I still really love his work…. I just don’t it very well 😆 😆

March 3, 2008 at 1:09 am #673045My son had to do a tessellation for Algebra class. It was driving him crazy!!! 🙂
March 3, 2008 at 6:58 am #673046Escher’s work is neat. But I’m thinking Melody’s naturalistic renderings wouldn’t be compatible with Escheresque stylization.
March 3, 2008 at 4:23 pm #673047I’m only speaking for myself here, but if someone told me that they’d like to buy my work, but only if I worked in, say, Monet’s style, I’d be a little offended. 😉

Oh, Yikes! I was not meaning to offend at all! 😳 I just thought it would be neat to see Melody’s interpreation of Eschers work and thought poads or curlies would be fun. Never, ever, ever would I wish to offend….. 😳 😳 😳
