Well, I think it is, anyhow…because my peacock male is so much darker!
This one’s got a LOT of gold/champagne on him –>

Hope that works. What do you think? Is it the lighting, or is he actually really that gold?

Huh! I’ll bet it’s the lighting, because I can see those colors on mine, but only under a bright flashlight.
          But I don’t know. Maybe he’s different.

I vote for it just being the lighting. I’ve noticed that the older peacocks can look spectacularly different all depending on the lighting conditions they are in!

He looks just like the one very first Windstone I ever bought in about 198? He is a peacock male with same coloring. The older ones are distinctly different from the newer peacock ones, I know, because I have both. It’s not the lighting.

Ooh. I really like how he’s got more variation in his colors!
I wonder what’s wrong with his tail, though. <.<

Its definitely the lighting the male and female i used to have were covered in Gold 😀

I like how there’s variation in the peacocks, it kinda lets you know that each one is unique. 😉

My bet would be the lighting but it is impossible to know for sure without seeing him in person! An interesting observation though.

                gray

                green

                blue

                purple

While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
