So I wanted a peacock scratcher and ruby lap… found 2 for awesome prices.. ordered with credit card was called and told they don’t actually have those. Found another site with good prices and did it again, again they don’t have them. But he can order a current colored scratcher for me for $280. Uh yeah not. Now I found a brown lap for $230 last night and was SUPER excited and just got the e-mail they don’t have him. Now my credit card number is floating all over in cyber space and nothing is coming dragon wise. Makes me nervous. And I found a white coiled for something like $60 and ordered him last night and got an e-mail that it’s 6 to 8 weeks to mail him?! Well hopefully they at least HAVE him. And it said ‘don’t e-mail and ask about your order unless it’s been at least 30 days’. Uh won’t be ordering from them again! Man I am getting frustrated. I guess I’m not going to order any colors online that aren’t current to save myself from disappointment 🙁 Cruddy couple of days.

February 26, 2008 at 7:42 pm #669896I’ve only been collecting Windstones for a couple months, but that’s one of the first lessons I learned. Always email to make sure something is in stock before you pay for it. Way less of a hassle than getting your money back.
February 26, 2008 at 7:54 pm #669897I sure hope that I don’t have to get my money back! They had better not charge my card if I’m not getting something!
And to emerald.. thanks for being a good website owner! It’s not like these websites fell a little behind.. they have peacocks that they apparantly haven’t had for years still up on their site 🙁
February 26, 2008 at 7:57 pm #669898Yeah I always call and ask if they have an item or not. Back when I was trying to find my peacock scratcher and old warrior I found a whole bunch of websites that had them. When I called some of them had disconnected phone numbers and most didn’t have up to date websites. I ended up going down the list of dealers listed to find them.
February 26, 2008 at 9:06 pm #669899That’s why I only get my windstones from the windstone online store or if I see one in a store around here where I can buy them right off the shelf. A lot of online dealers don’t update their sites very often…unfortunately.
My most wanted list: Peacock kitty wizard, carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties

I don’t e-mail I call them direct and talk to a live person to get answers. In the time it takes them to read the e-mail and reapond they could sell out of the item you are looking for

February 27, 2008 at 4:49 am #669902Yea, I always call. Sometimes the place doesn’t even carry Windstones anymore! 😯

Don’t rule out all online dealers. Wolflodge and emerald are great to deal with. 😉

February 27, 2008 at 3:26 pm #669905I’ve had that happen to me too, and it is SOOooo frustrating, cause then you’re all excited about recieving an item that wont be coming….grrrr…
March 1, 2008 at 11:43 pm #669906I burned up my cell phone looking for my White and Emerald pieces in 2004 when they retired I was lucky that they had JUST retired. I did find all the ones I wanted though
March 5, 2008 at 3:09 pm #669907So I got the peacock scratcher I ordered from a store online (ordered over the phone). They put him in his cardboard form fitting box, with bubble wrap over his head but nothing to protect his body (when mine are ordered from the factory they always have a plastic bag..?) SOooo he has gold flaked off on 2 of his claws and some of the ‘spots’ that run along his body. I called and left a message last night (store was closed) and waiting to hear back. I don’t want to return him really because by the time I pay for postage to send him back and I paid the postage to send him to me I’d be out like $40 bucks and have nothing to show for it! Any advice?? I was planning on buying from them again and said that in my message but now I’m not so sure I will.
