I didn’t know where to put this exactly so I figured…this would work…
I got a really cool feather painted by Jennifer…..and I framed it and now have to show it off…
of course the picture is poop…but basically…it’s a blue and violet phoenix…
I found a neat frame, sanded it down..and stained it violet then finished it with beeswax…it looks cool..
then for the background I got a piece of thick paper that was a similar color to the feather..and found metallic vellum that I tore and put in some cool rows…then mounted the feather with Jennifer’s great instructions…
I think it looks really neat…and now everyone must go buy one from her too….

February 26, 2008 at 7:08 pm #669308I was really considering ordering a feather but then there is that thing about bird flu so i can’t! 🙁
The village down the road from me where i go all the time has actually had five swans infected with bird flu so do you think i would be allowed a feather? Someone i know is very good at painting feathers too perhaps i can visit her and pinch one!February 26, 2008 at 8:30 pm #669309Griffiness wrote:I was really considering ordering a feather but then there is that thing about bird flu so i can’t! 🙁

I don’t think Jen actually goes out and plucks them herself….
I’m sure if you ask her about them she’ll have all the answers you need….
and I doubt there would be any problem with it coming to you there…
