Hi Melody,
I’m not sure if this has ever been brought up before, but if it has then I apologize in advance. I’m home on break from school, and several Windstones that I had bought with my Christmas money were waiting for me here. When my Dad saw my small PYO dragon he suggested that I get a bunch of them, paint them differently and create a chess set.
Now, PYO’s are too big and too expensive for me to do something like that, but the idea interested me. Have you ever considered doing a set of small Windstone chess pieces? I know it would probably a nightmare…but I had to ask anyway 😆
Loads of people have done that in the UK with fantisy figures, it needs to be done REALLY well or it looks awfully tacky 🙁

Yeah. Just go into any board game store and you’ll find dragon chess sets up the wall. They also go for as much as $1000.
And I agree… unless they are done right, they do look tacky…This has sorta been asked before! You can follow the discussion here:

That’s a good set, but the wizard isn’t getting any love. Although I do like the muse as the pawn. Poor muse. 😆
I still think Poads should be the pawns if this ever happens. They’d be easier to sculpt tiny versions of too. Shape a lump like a jellybean, give it a beak and a buttcrack, and you’re ready to go 😆 (I know it’d be more complicated than that, but way fewer details than a tiny Muse!)

I know it would probably a nightmare…but I had to ask anyway 😆Yes that would be really neat, pyo chess sets! They wouldn’t be too expensive, however the down side is protecting the designs. With the PYOs we have the insert in the bottom, the ( hopefully signed) felt pad to go with them and the glass eyes to make recasting fakes a bit more difficult. I could imagine the difficulty of trying to figure out if a hand painted chess set was legit or not!
It sucks, but this is a big problem we have.
