I guess it's possible after all

My mother is the only girl in three generations of my family. I have three brothers, there are three boys in her brother’s family, and three more boys in her other brother’s family.

My next youngest cousin had one boy already, but… last night, out comes little miss Valentine’s Day.

I can see it now.

“You stood me up for Valentine’s AND my birthday? You’re toast!”

Oh, and we should all be so lucky. Born one day off the due date, a reasonable weight and length, and 4 hours of labor.

So I guess I don’t get the first girl, but at least I know it’s still possible in our family (we all originate from the same grandparents — I only know one side of my family).

My mother called, and has seen the baby, and said “she’s cuuuute” and I said “oh, so it doesn’t have family resembalance then?” and she’s like “No, it’s spitting image of him, has none of her mother” ….

So I’m confused. 😆

Then I chewed her out for not taking a camera.
