I hate to be the one breaking the joy of the terrific find over in the flea market… but this find marks something a bit more tragic.
One of our forum members is missing.
Melody and I are trying to track down who this person was who owned all these dragons. Some of the stuff was obviously bought recently (the PYOs). I’ve put out this general broadcast call to see if we can’t get a sort of a headcount of any older forum members who haven’t been seen or heard from in a while.
While it is a treasure trove of a find, let’s please keep in mind it might have been one of our friends right here on the board who passed away.
February 12, 2008 at 12:04 am #494308February 12, 2008 at 12:26 am #664931I’m hoping that the PYOs she had might help us identify who it was. 🙁

My art: featherdust.comFebruary 12, 2008 at 12:28 am #664932Oh, no… while any death is entirely too bad, I hope it was no one we know 🙁 Has there been any luck getting pictures of the PYO’s?
February 12, 2008 at 12:30 am #664933There are only 3 people listing Wisconsin as their location in the memberlist. If they bought the pyo out of the store, you might be able to find them in the records that way.

Right. There are some of the older members who painted from when the pyos first came out who haven’t been on in a while, like Unicornlvr, Yelth, etc. That or if there is a special piece somewhere in one of those boxes (from an ebay win perhaps).
February 12, 2008 at 12:33 am #664935But then how many of the others who don’t list locations are from Wisconsin? 😕 If you got the town name it might help as well.
February 12, 2008 at 12:33 am #664936Hrrmmmm….I wonder who it is….sigh… 🙁
February 12, 2008 at 12:33 am #664937The only other way I know to trace her would be through the silver curls. I’m assuming Windstone has records of who bought those. There haven’t been that many batches. Is there a way we can trace this person through them? Is there an email address or could all of us PM someone with our names and which silver curls we have? Of course, I’m making the assumption that out of the 13 curls there were silver ones. 🙁
This is terrible…. 😥
February 12, 2008 at 12:34 am #664938Well, I’ve been in touch with Unicornlvr in the past couple of weeks. She is in her 20’s in any case….
February 12, 2008 at 12:35 am #664939an old green curl or pink would be an indicator too possibly??? I dunno…I’m guessing, and wish I could be more help. 🙁
February 12, 2008 at 12:36 am #664940…also, I’m not sure Wisconsin is a valid clue. I need to go back and re-read everything, but maybe the family is from Wisconsin, but the grandmother was not. She could’ve lived in a neighboring state???
February 12, 2008 at 12:39 am #664941So….Jenn…DZ…if you want us to send you a PM or email letting you know which of the more rare curl colors we have, please let us know.
February 12, 2008 at 12:41 am #664942It is possible the family hauled the Grandmothers stuff from another state but I think its unlikely. I just thought it would be a place to start?

Let’s see what she had first. D_Z would probably have faster access to Susie’s sales lists, but it’s possible we might recognize her PYOs. We’ll see what Aetharia can tell us first.
