I managed to win this oriental dragon from Ebay. But. The colors look rather off to me. It doesn’t look to be the peacock coloring from pictures I’ve seen, but I could be wrong and I’m just missing a different version of the color somewhere. Could anyone confirm this for me, one way or the other?

looks real to me….there were slight variations in some of the orientals….

I’m sure someone else has comparison pictures…

Well bid, Aetharia! You’ve landed one of the dark peacock versions of the Oriental. I don’t think anyone knows how many darks were produced as opposed to the more standard light peacock, but it is an unusual piece. It does look like one of the prettier renditions of the dark variant, with all of that lovely purple around his face and legs. I hope he pleases you! 🙂

You have one of the more rare orientals! As last discussed with Melody, a number of these dark guys were painted- possibly on purpose, or possibly on accident. Melody wasn’t sure, but as far as she remembers it was not intentional. It’s very much legit!

I was just going to chime in saying it was real cause I have the dark one too. But to read and find out it is in the more rare category, yay me! Thanks be to Rusti!
