First off, I wanted to say, I loved the Keeper PYO you painted. Just beautiful!
My question:
Are the Keeper PYOs very much harder to paint than the little PYO dragons?
The little dragons drive me crazy with the curly Q tail.
What’s the most difficult part of painting the Keeper PYOs?Thanks!
January 16, 2008 at 5:27 pm #493971January 16, 2008 at 5:52 pm #656627The Keeper PYO doesn’t really have any super tricky spots, like behind the tail curl on the little PYO dragon. However, he/she is so much bigger it takes me at least 2-3 times as long to paint! The scale patterns and textures are a lot different too- I find that this one is a little harder to make paint schemes for due to some of the ‘weird’ lines of scales. It would be very easy to make his paint schemes really random and too weird (for me).
Probably the hardest spot is behind his neck, there are some nice scales that can be tricky to paint.
Also, if you are like me and like having the belly, feet, and tail all different shades, it can be tricky not to get paint where it should not be in these areas. His belly on the display side is a little tricky.
My favorite part about him are the scales on his muzzle. I’m strange like that!Volunteer mod- I'm here to help! Email me for the best response: nambroth at gmail.com

Ohyay!I.am.really.loving.this.pyo.myself.

They are just snapshots I took on my back porch (it was a balmy 16Β° F out there today) and don’t show the true colors. These photos are just for fun!
This guy, I think I’ll call him MossyScale. He’s nearly done- missing his pendant. He’s inspired by the look of beautiful green moss in the crisp, fresh snow. I love that look.
These two just have their white base coats, and I’ve started brushing on some shades of color. One will be pink/shell colored, and one will be shades of brown. They will look much different when complete! Sorry they don’t have eyes (I know that’s creepy to some of you!).

Dunno! They always evolve as I paint them (Can you believe that the Firescale dragon was almost all copper?). I’m thinking he will be browns and maybe some green, like my PYO griffins used to be.
