I bid on a whim yesterday and won. Now I’m nervous. Is this the Gothic unicorn like I thought and if so is 60.00 with shipping a good price? I think so no matter what just because it’s a Windstone and I like it. Just curious what anyone else thinks. 🙂

January 9, 2008 at 2:29 pm #654514i think you got a good deal. i sold an extra i had on ebay in the fall and it went for like 260 bucks or something like that, but often the go for 125-150 ( i paid 155 for mine mib). normal retail when it was out would have been around 80 or so, so you got that guy at below price increase retail! hopefully his damage isn’t too bad, but they look like easy fixes anyway. congrats! its a great piece – i’m sure you love him when you get him! 😀
January 9, 2008 at 3:50 pm #654515I think you got a good price! These are fairly uncommon and are becoming more desirable as they are retired.
Not the Gothic Unicorn, which is a ‘full color’ unicorn with a gold plated horn- but a neat piece nonetheless!

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 9, 2008 at 4:09 pm #654516Good price considering the chips it had. Grats on the new family member!
January 9, 2008 at 5:10 pm #654517Thanks everybody for the great info. I’m hoping I can fix or cover the chips myself. Since I’ve never done anything like this before it will be a good learning experience. Or if they don’t show much I will probably just leave well enough alone 🙄 🙂 Either way it looks like I’ve got a great piece to add to my collection 8)
January 9, 2008 at 5:14 pm #654518The Gothic Unicorn is actually a white colored unicorn that looks like a goat, similar to the unicorn from the Unicorn Tapestries.
January 9, 2008 at 5:34 pm #654519I knew that !! Hits self on head 😳
Between the barking dogs all night (neighbors not ours) and the logging trucks starting through at five this morning I was a little brain dead. 🙄January 9, 2008 at 5:36 pm #654520I would love to get a gothic unicorn someday! I do hope Melody is eventually able to find the mold case for it.
January 9, 2008 at 7:09 pm #654521I just got one from SPark not too long ago. It’s so cute in person! I love it’s little goat face. 😀
January 9, 2008 at 7:54 pm #654522I actually wish I had kept the one I sent her from my Sacramento find way back when but I could not afford it at the time. Did you get the one that needed the pedicure??
January 10, 2008 at 4:51 am #654523Actually, unicorns really DO exist. There are goats out there that have a single horn growing out of the middle of their foreheads 😀
January 10, 2008 at 6:20 am #654524And then there’s the rhino…
Khat $60 is a good deal. I paid $80 for mine, which arrived smashed. Better luck to yours.January 10, 2008 at 7:58 am #654525PhoenixTears wrote:Actually, unicorns really DO exist. There are goats out there that have a single horn growing out of the middle of their foreheads 😀
Very true. I also read a book in elementry school about unicorns, saying scientists had made a unicorn cow…the cow adapted to the single horn and used it to lift up barbed wire fences 😆
