hello, all. i was wondering if anyone could tell me if the hatching emperor ever had a hang tag? i found one on ebay that is emerald in color and it doesnt have a hang tag .they told me it never had one .
so did any of them come with one or not ?I’m not sure but this might have been better in the Ask Melody section since she should know for sure.

already asked her and she cant seem to remember . she told me to ask the question in the forum and maybe one of you would remember or know if you have one or something.
VERY kewl. I have never followed the Hatching Royals so I’m of nohelp there. I wonder if Dave (The Castle) would know?? He has the Windstone Encylopedia (Astra Castle) on line he might be able to remember
I know the brown ones do, but that may be because the pads were just put on recently. I honestly cant recall if I ever had an emp w/a hang tag… I think I have because the tag on them is annoying since the base is so small. I guess I am not much help. My answer is “I think so.” 😆

thanks for that info. Dragon Master i found the website and asked the question . now i just have to wait for a response.

So some do and some don’t. I wonder if it all depends on when the hang tage got introduced and started?From what I can remember with previous discussions about hang tags some of it depends on when the piece was painted compared to when the hang tags were introduced. This is part of the reason when I add something to the Windstone database I maintain on my computer (similar to the one Ravnheart hosts online – should be though since I gave her the database that I had gotten from the forum member who originally started keeping it) I don’t take hang tags in to consideration when determining if a piece is “Mint” or not. Some pieces never had hang tags and then others had them added later. Since there’s no real way to tell I don’t factor it in.

Dave tells me that the peacock came both with and without and the emerald and white hes not sure because they retired right around the same time the tags were introduced.he says the ones he has seen since then did not have a tag.

so all in all a hang tag doesnt really matter and doesnt take away from the value of the dragon if it came with one or not??? but what if it did come with one and they cut it off???

Interesting! That makes sense, Jeff must of found one of copyrights that we filed.
These quotes comes from this thread on hang tags. So from this, I infer that Peg’s comment is correct. The emerald hatching emperor was released from 1997 to 2000. So if you purchased one painted in 97′ and 98′, it wouldn’t have a hangtag.
