So we come back home this evening and there is a package sitting beside the door. 2 Ziploc baggies full of doggie treats with a card stapled to them. Upon getting the package inside I notice the card is addressed to Sam. Sam is the dog. The treats are from on of our elderly neighbors who adores Sam and she even wrote a special card for him too. The Dog got the card and the people were forgotten! 😀 😀 😀 Man, he’s spoiled 😀

December 19, 2007 at 4:33 pm #648444That’s great! Not that you were forgotten, but it’s usually the animals that are forgetten. It’s nice to see that not everyone forgets. 😀

😀 Sam is adored by the people at the coffee shop we visit (they have milkbones) too. They all know Sam but can never remember our names! 😀 😀 😀
December 19, 2007 at 9:01 pm #648449That is so sweet.
Our cats love to sit in the window, since it’s floor to ceiling, and just watch the world go by. When we have our annual block parties (bunch of townhouses) we’re known as the people with the black and white kitties. We’re not known by name, just what kind of animals we have. 😆
December 19, 2007 at 9:32 pm #648450I was ALWAYS known as the man with the white cat that would sit on my head
She is WAY too big for that nowDecember 19, 2007 at 9:37 pm #648451DM, have you ever read anything by Cleveland Amory…The Cat Who Came for Christmas, The Cat and the Curmudgeon, etc.? He has an all white cat named Polar Bear. They are entertaining reads for cat lovers.

December 22, 2007 at 4:56 am #648453I guess I’m not the only one who does this, my cats even have stockings!!!
December 22, 2007 at 5:11 am #648454Aaw! that’s so sweet, we had a friend who used to bake treats for our dog (never made us anything)!
YAY! I’m not alone! all my pets have stockings, the dog, the hamsters, even my lizard 😳 (I got him a box of crickets and a new rock for his tank for Christmas 😆 ), My friend came over to help me decorate the tree and asked why I had 7 stockings up when there are only 3 people in the house, she thought I was crazy when i told her they were for my pets 😀
December 22, 2007 at 6:36 pm #648455My b/f forgot my birthday but remembers my dogs . The same with the neighbors – when I am out walking Tristen everybody waves, smiles, speaks, etc. but if I am out by myself nobody recognizes me except one time a lady said Oh you are the one that has that beautiful red chow. Tristen gets more Christmas presents than anybody else. A former neighbor had five pugs and the pugs and Tristen exchanged Christmas gifts.
