I bought a few of Olimpia’s special dragons. I noticed that she didn’t have sketches.
Does she draw? If so, have you thought about having her do little sketches? Also, why not let her co-sign the letter with John?
I know Jennifer draws, and I don’t have any of her special pieces yet. Does she put a drawing on her COA’s?
I understand you might want to keep the special sketches to Melody painted items only, but it would probably increase the incentive for people to buy special pieces if they knew they would get a special piece of art to go with it.
Also, have you thought about drawing the sketch ahead of time and putting it on Ebay with the auction pictures.
The Double Griffin sketch was so awesome! I think it is possible that the Griffin would have gone higher because of the sketch. I might have bid on that Griffin because of the sketch!
This is all just curious musings and suggestions…take it as you will.

This is all just curious musings and suggestions…take it as you will.Jennifer definitely draws, and I’ve seen at least one drawing that was on one of her coas…I think she still draws on them…with INK, no less, (How about posting some of those, folks? I don’t get to see them.) Olimpia doesn’t draw. She is an air brusher.
I put the sketches on there as extras that aren’t part of the auction, just because I like to.
However, I do like the idea of doing some sketches as ebay items themselves, just for fun. I desperately need the drawing practice, and I draw so much more carefully when I know someone else is going to see it!December 19, 2007 at 5:31 am #648370yeah some sketches would be great for ebay….
I love that griffin one….
December 19, 2007 at 5:49 am #648371There are no sketches on my Labradorite Griffys COAs. Yes Melody please cute sketches for Ebay?!?!?
December 19, 2007 at 5:57 am #648372Good questions, keschete. I sure hope Melody does sketches just for E-bay!
December 19, 2007 at 2:49 pm #648373I don’t get to see the COAs, since I’m not at the factory. I don’t sign them, John does to certify that they are a real, genuine special piece painted by me. I did send out a sketch with the Sun griffin since that was the very first special piece I did that was not a PYO and I was SO honored to have people buy him. I think the Sun griffin (and maybe the Moon griffin) are the only ones with sketches from me!!
I often sketch in ink because it forces me to live with and learn from my mistakes, since I can’t correct them!! Melody has a much better grasp of anatomy than I do.
I can try and find a way to offer my sketches again with my special pieces. I didn’t think anyone would want my sketches!

So would you be selling originals or prints??December 19, 2007 at 8:00 pm #648376Jennifer wrote:I don’t get to see the COAs, since I’m not at the factory. I love your art, Nam! Hence why I commissioned you awhile back *still ADORES that picture* π Although I could never afford any of your awesome windstone pieces… so I’d never see one anyway (sculpture or drawing!), but still, would be cool to see people post their COAs with your art sketches!

Uhm…dear Nam, YES we love your drawings!

I don’t even know if most Windstone collectors know I draw! I figured the paintjobs I do get most of the attention. They certainly sell a lot better than my other art does! π
