This is odd, but this buyer has not contacted me or paid for the momma griffin he won. The only negative he has is for non-payment for another Windstone griffin. I am wondering if he is gonna stiff me. I am gonna wait the 10 days, of course, but still… for some reason, I am not expecting payment. Anyone else deal with him?
December 14, 2007 at 8:32 pm #493644December 14, 2007 at 8:52 pm #647143Nope, when did he win it?
December 14, 2007 at 8:55 pm #647144Yes, I have dealt with her. She bought the black crouching griffin from me (since the extra set I got for a friend, she then decided she didnt want so I was stuck with the extra chicks and ebayed them).
I know I had to send her a manual invoice, as she didnt pay right away or when ebay generated one. But once she got mine, she paid me via PayPal right away. I have her email if you need it; and her address. Two of them may be using that account- she is Stephanie and I think her husband is Mark. But I think they share the account so it depends who youre dealing with, if you know.
Good luck and I hope you dont get stiffed!
December 14, 2007 at 9:06 pm #647145well at least someone here knows her that is some sort of good news
December 14, 2007 at 10:07 pm #647146Jasmine, she won it about 7 days ago.

Good luck and I hope you dont get stiffed! I have sent her 2 invoices and have heard nothing. I hope she doesnt change her mind on this one. Oh well if she does. I will just relist for a 24hr auction. Thanks!
December 16, 2007 at 4:59 am #647147Maybe she went away on vacation? Or, maybe I got lucky and she could be a deadbeat.
I would have to say to just send her an eBay message and tell her that she is over due on her payment, not to mention you havent heard anything from her which is discouraging. And close it by gently saying that if you hear nothing from her soon, youll unfortunately have to file an Upaid Item Dispute.
You have to look out for #1. Sorry youre having trouble with this one. Good luck and keep us posted!
December 16, 2007 at 5:03 am #647148I hope she pays, Ski. 😕
December 16, 2007 at 3:41 pm #647149I give people 7 days to pay then I file an Unpaid Item Claim. They get another 7 days to make it right then, so maybe the Ebay notice will scare her. I’d file the claim and see what happens.

Thats a good practice of business. Ive adopted that as well. Sadly, Ive been stiffed by several ebayers and it is so silly cause it’s not like it’s a lot of money. Not paying for something that is $10… c’mon! Why buy and put me through fees? Nor are they responding to Disputes either. Does my leaving them negative FB come next? I hate doing that even when I being screwed. It’s not my nature but I guess thats how business must go.
Keep us posted Ski and I really do hope she pays and gives you a proper and honest explanation though that is over due as well. Good luck luv. We’re behind you!
December 17, 2007 at 8:02 am #647151Well still nothing. I would wait for payment if I got a message or something, but I got nothing! nada!
December 17, 2007 at 8:03 am #647152Are you filing the dispute now?
December 17, 2007 at 1:34 pm #647153Sigh…It’s always irritating when this sort of stuff happens. Best of luck Ski. 😀
December 17, 2007 at 3:06 pm #647154Yeah, I am gonna file a dispute. I hate doing it then leaving though. I will wait till tonight cuz of time differences.

Once you file a dispute, Ebay makes you wait 7 days or until the buyer responds to close the dispute. When you close the dispute, you can say you got paid or you never got paid. If you never got paid, the buyer will get an Unpaid Item Strike on their record, and you will get your selling fees back.
If someone starts working with me when I file the claim, I leave it open until I actually have the money in my hand (you can’t open a second one). Once I have the money, I close it, saying I got paid. If they string me along for another couple weeks, then I close it saying I didn’t get paid, leave them negative feedback, block them from bidding on anything else of mine, and relist the item. I do this too, if I never hear from them.
Hope things work out for both of you. It stinks to get stiffed on something. I’ve had it happen a few times, so I just set up the steps to deal with it. So when it happens, I just do these steps. Then I don’t have to deal with trying to figure out what I’m going to do. Of course, I’ll try to work with someone if they are having financial trouble or are sick or they just lost their parent or something. Life happens, so I try to be compassionate. But I have to protect myself too, so I set up the steps. But they’re more like guidelines than rules.
