Who do you like for President? I am a Republican, but disgusted with what Bush is doing to our country and our economy.
Sooo, I am really tempted to vote for someone new and fresh and I kind of like what Obama has to say. I also like McCain, but I have no idea at this point who I will vote for.
Any of you decided yet?

I trust you guys to behave in a civil manner and be polite to one another. If things DO get out of hand I’ll start smacking snouts with a rolled up newspaper!! 😉
Carry on. 😆

My art: featherdust.comDecember 11, 2007 at 1:15 am #644423Hillary Clinton. She did some great reforms on child care laws now protecting the child and not the parent. And she’s already experienced in a sense – she won’t be starting from scratch like most people. And I think the country was in a lot better shape under Bill – don’t think much of his personal morals but the guy is really smart.

Hehehe, that’s funny.
Ohh and Nam’s comment, please keep it nice folks. I certainly don’t want any nastiness. I only posted because I was curious what other people thought. We ceratinly don’t want any fighting 🙂
December 11, 2007 at 1:34 am #644426Hillary or Obama…Both have good ideals. But, I am not a Republican. Infact, I claied neither side the last election. Both sides sucked! 😛
December 11, 2007 at 1:41 am #644427yeah I kind of agree with that….
but I don’t see how any of the new ones could be any worse than they are now…
speaking of worse…..did anyone see the new oil spill in Asia….
so I’m sure that means gas will go up again this week…

look at what happened after the one here in the SF bay!!December 11, 2007 at 2:11 am #644430Personally, Hillary would be the very LAST person I would vote for EVER. I will vote for a republican before I vote for her.
(Just for reference, I affiliate with no political party. If you want to classify me into “something”, I am a gun-toting, foaming at the mouth libertarian. A redneck, in other words)
Personally, if we had to have a woman president, I’d much rather see Condy Rice. But, If I could pick anyone for president (aside from myself, obviously), it would have to be Collin Powell hands down. In spite of some actions by him during the Bush administration, I really do admire the man. One of the (few to nonexistant) politician these days with some sense of the word “moraliaty”.
In all honesty, I don’t trust any one of the candidates, be them republican, democrat, or other. Politicians in general are low-life scum – particularly those destined for the presidency.
December 11, 2007 at 2:18 am #644431so you want a colin to run the country after a Bush??
Doesn’t sound good to me sounds messy!!!December 11, 2007 at 2:25 am #644432Personally, I’ve always thought Colin Powell would be a good choice.
December 11, 2007 at 2:38 am #644433I was actually lucky enough to attend a lecture Colin Powell gave – he’s a fantastic speaker. This was several years ago and, at the time, he said he would never run for president. His wife suffers from depression and/or some sort of mental illness (I forget exactly but I think it is depression) and had supported his career totally. The only thing she asked him was to not run for president. Basically because once a person does EVERYTHING in his/her life becomes fair game and the press pry into every member of the family’s lives. She didn’t want to be subjected to such scrutiny. And he said that since she had made so many sacrifices for him he could make one for her. Gotta respect him (if that really is the reason he’s not running – oops, there is my distrust of politicians showing).
Personally, I can’t wait until all the people with close ties to the oil companies are out of power. Did you know there is an oil tanker named the Condalesa? Someone was a top oil executive in a previous job…and it’s funny how since these people with ties to oil companies have been in power the price goes up and up and profits are up (oops, there is my conspiracy theory side showing).
December 11, 2007 at 2:43 am #644434Yeah, it’s a shame he said he’ll never run. 🙁 As for the rest of them…it’s the devil you know vs. the devil you don’t.
