I came across a website that will be added to my daily list of sites to visit, and I thought I’d share. It’s fun (well, to me anyway), and it donates food too. Check out FreeRice. If you think you’ll go back, you can go to the Options page and choose to keep track of your bowls.
I don’t recall hearing about it here before, but if it has been mentioned, I guess it’s a bump for whoever didn’t see it.

Well, according to the FAQ: There are 50 levels in all, but it is rare for people to get above level 48.
But you have to keep in mind that it’s sorta rigged… if you get an answer right, they’ll give you a word that’s deemed more difficult. And if you get one wrong, they’ll give an easier one. It constantly adjusts so that maybe you’ll learn something :). But I’d say if you’re in the 40s at all, you’ve got either a pretty fair understanding of vocabulary, or you’re a good guesser 8)
I went on that site to just check it out…and I spent about 30 minutes on it! I got a score of 41. I donated over 4000 grains of rice. Man it made me feel great, and I learned something too!!!

I read everything not nailed down, and even things that are if they have written word on it. I surprised my husband a few times when I knew a word he didn’t, he was standing over my shoulder “helping” me play. LOL!
What I did horribly at was a game that gave you 10 minutes to list all 50 states…I am terribly weak when it comes to the eastern US.

I got a 41 and donated 4000 grains of rice too. That was kind of fun. 😀 And definitely a good cause.

Hehe. I might have to think about it for a min if I have to identify by outline, but I still remember a song I learned in 3rd grade, so know em all alphabetically…. I-o-waaaaay….

I can usually get to about 47 before I have issues
I got this from the Neil Gaiman site. I’ve hit 46 as a high but I’m usually in the 40’s. One thing bothers me though. You get the word and 3 choices but the choices aren’t definitions…they’re actually synonyms.
I have to admit I did get to 50. Oh was that hard… then when I got tired of it I leveled out at 36. 😆 But, I did donate 6000 grains of rice.
