My horse is Nimitz, named after the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier. My dog’s name is Beretta, after the Italian weapons manufacturer.
The pony’s name is Lady Sunshine, but I call her Short Stuff, Fuzz Bucket, Little Person – basically anything but Lady.
I named my fish, too, but forgot their names.
Pet names are fun. I’ve even pet names my brothers. Florian is Löchen (means “little Florian” and he’s way taller than me). Stef was Haha, a name the Kid (Tom, the youngest) gave him when Tom was still a baby. Now Stef is Étienne, the French form of his name.
Oh yeah, I even named my motorcycle. It’s Beastie. 😆We had Snoopy, a goldfish growing up. A VERY long lived goldfish (6-7years)
We have Sam the dog now, but Dad calls him El Doggo. And my sister has A yellow Lab named Joy aka fruitfly cause she has no attention span.
Two of siblings had nicknames
Russ (youngest Brother) Fuzzball. He always had a crewcut growing up. man did he HATE that name. One of his friends baby sister couldn’t say his name propperly and it came out “Gucko”
Megan (sister) Megatron, Muffet and when she was really little Omega Supreme, after she pooped in her diaper!
Never did give the brother just younger than me a nicknameWell, I went through a phase where I thought it would be cool to name my animals after the different words describing shoes… it didn’t last. Only the turtle got it: Gougoune (flip-flops). Mythology won for a while…

I used to have a long lived goldfish (13 years), named Timmy. He started out being one of four. The others were Amanda, Kelly, and Tanner (name that movie!).
My cats have people names too, but it’s Katie’s fault:
Katie Jo (I didn’t name her, she came with it, but she answers to it so I didn’t want to change it): Pipsqueak, Pip, Tippy, Bean, Boo, Katie Boo, Fuzzybutt, Little One. If I’d named Katie, she probably would have been named Tippy because of the white tip on the end of her tail.
Claire Marie: Clairy, Peanut, Pink-nose, Munchkin, Cutie Patootie. If Katie had been Tippy, then Claire would have been Peanut.
Merlin Yoda: Booger, Merly, Boy, Little Boy, Buddy, Bean (I’m not very original). Merlin would probably still be Merlin since my hubby named him. 🙂
