Custom sketchbook/journal covers (koi one added 24/03/08!)

Just trying something new, after my friend El and I had a discussion a while ago about fun things to do with blank sketchbooks LOL

So I tried my hand at decorating a small sketchbook with some minor relief:

I picked mushrooms because I like forest scenes and mushrooms in particular as a decorative motif, and I also just kinda picked the first thing that came to mind since I had my nature guidebook nearby for reference heh heh

I currently have this book priced at $60, is that insane? I wish I could price it cheaper but that’s the honest bare-bones price I can do for the work and the materials used including the blank sketchbook @_@ I have another sketchbook I did, of a red dragon, but I don’t have a recent picture of it yet so that’ll have to be posted later on ^_^

ETA: And here’s a picture of the red dragon / firedrake sketchbook I did, I wish there was a better way to capture how it glows LOL
