Im curious if anyone has a Siamese bat wing flap cat that is NOT chipped, but is missing paint either a lot or a little, and willing to sell it for a bargain? PM or post here. Thanks!
*Edit: any paint flawed small flapper will do, as long as it’s inexpensive.
NEVERMIND… got a very flawed and more than Id like to have paid had I known it was SO flawed, off eBay. Now looking for a GOOD condition bat wing siamese.
November 16, 2007 at 12:19 am #636311OK, I changed it and broadened my request. Any flawed small flapper will do. Wings dont matter- bat or bird is fine. Siamese or B/W is also fine.
Again, hopefully no chips- or at least very, VERY miniscule ones that dont really show. Does NOT matter how much paint damage there is on it, or condition of felt. No tag or box is also fine. Again, looking for it to be cheap enough, depending on how much damage it has.
Thank you! Anyone? Anyone?
Bueller…Bueller?
November 16, 2007 at 12:41 am #636312I assume you are keeping an eye on ebay right?
They show up there fairly regularly and even the mint ones don’t usually go very high…
In fact there’s 2 batwinged there right now.
Good Luck with your search though 😀
November 16, 2007 at 5:49 am #636313I am keeping an eye on eBay… I do several times a day if not for me, then for you guys.
Thing about the descriptions, is that uninformed sellers will say no chips because they think the chips are missing paint. They dont have as sharp an eye as we do. Ive received mint or flawless pieces with tons of scratches and missing paint, if not chips from eBay. I trust you guys more b/c you know more.
Actually, the way flaps have been going lately on eBay is more than I care to pay. But Im watching and thanks for your advice darlin’!

November 17, 2007 at 6:11 am #636315Well, if you look at my post in General Windstone about flapper authenticity, I think I just got a fake from eBay. I dont think seller knew it either. Read that thread so I dont have to rehash it here.
But, being that it IS so messed up, I could use this flapper for my purposes. Of course that means I will have to go back after the same flapper again on eBay and hope at least this time, it will be real and TRULY flawless as buyer says. The one I got is just a mess but perfect for my needs. However, the fact its felt is completely blank and it’s missing some classic Windstone touches makes me think that it is a fake. Doesnt even have a sealant top coat.
Pix may be hard to get but I could try. However, while everything else seems to be selling for less on eBay as some have postulated, the items I seem to go after (which are not many AT ALL), seem to soar 🙄
