While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

For the rest of us…TIME TO UNLOAD!!! π
September 27, 2007 at 5:15 am #621068It’s sure nice for the seller that the bidder was so desperate. I don’t understand why people don’t research before they buy, though. π

Some folks just don’t think about it. I know I probably should have researched prices a little more when I was looking for Windstones on eBay at first, but I was looking for black hoofers after they retired and they almost never seemed to pop up so I set myself a limit (1.5 – 2x the original retail price) and stuck with that. If it went over, then I didn’t get the piece, much as I wanted it. I knew when it was time for me to have the piece I would win an auction.

No joke! I saw that auction too (was watching) and I couldn’t believe it. I don’t need to know how pieces can go for that much, I just want to know how to be a seller that can get those prices! π π
September 27, 2007 at 3:54 pm #621075I can’t imagine not at least researching a little before bidding $600 for the coiled mom. I thought $300 was too much! π―

Yikes, yes… $300 buys a lot of English books! And $600… well, that much adds a dark calico flapper to Megani’s collection π
September 27, 2007 at 5:45 pm #621077What I find interesting is that although she paid $610, the only way for that to happen was that someone else had to bid up to $600.
The seller bought a peacock coiled mother for $265 in August, I wonder if this is the same one but now they are selling it. If so, what a nice profit for them π
