Anyone heard of that before?

i have not heard from Paypal but I heard from Patelco a couple years ago when I got e-bay happy and got the 3 23kt Gold Leaf ones and the Ruby and BG Famlies, I was very happy they verified
Paypal did that to me not too long ago…they suspended the card and everything until I called and verified everything and all the purchases….
they didn’t have a current phone number or they would have called…
but they have a service…if you’ve used the account a lot…or have one large purchase they will call…and if they can’t get you they will suspend the account
but like Ravnheart said…I’d still call them…
it’s better to be safe than sorry..
My husband got the lady’s name, the phone number and when we called back, it was paypal. Double-checked on their website; the numbers check out.
Funny thing is, the last transaction wasn’t that much. Each payment I had to make for my layaway for my gold emperor and empea male was bigger than that and they never called.
Just weird.

yeah that’s how it was with me too….
and it was actually only over $8

I haven’t had this happen to me, but I’m not surprised they are doing it. I have received more phishing e-mails for PayPal in the last month than last year alone. They probably assume you won’t respond to a legit e-mail so now they call.
It is odd that they seem to be inconsistent about the transactions they call about. It might be just a check-up policy to get people to update contact information. At least they are being proactive.
