I commissioned a PYO with a forum member (no names) back in May. I bought the piece and had it shipped to them and went ahead and paid the (very reasonable) painting fee too (I knew the income was needed). I never got acknowledgement of receiving either, but did get an apology for the delay a few weeks later, and another one after that (in July). I’ve tried not to be a pest, but I’m getting frustrated and disappointed. I guess there’s not much I can really do about it. I just needed to vent a little. 🙁

You’d lose what you paid for shipping, but you could move ahead with another artist.

August 31, 2007 at 3:26 am #613021I think Tintaglia’s idea is perfectly reasonable. Good luck getting things resolved.

I’d thought of that too, and it’s a good idea. Problem is, I can’t even get a response from them. At this point I’m torn between frustration and hoping everything is ok with them.
August 31, 2007 at 9:01 am #613023Hmmm…PM her a few more times and see what she has to say? Is she active? Getting your messages and just not responding?
August 31, 2007 at 12:55 pm #613024Good luck, Tintaglia. Personally, I think no matter how busy someone is, a PYO really doesn’t take that long. Messages are a matter of moments. That’s just rotten.
August 31, 2007 at 1:44 pm #613025That’s sort of what I was thinking, GB. But it’s Copper that has the commission problem, not me.

Maybe you could get a mod involved to get more info on that person. And if it doesn’t get resolved then put their name on the naughty list.August 31, 2007 at 6:08 pm #613027Hmmmm….I’ve had the same trouble, I’m hoping to eventually get mine back too….pouts…

No response to PM’s. Not active for a while now. I’m wondering about my last PM though. It’s just sitting in the outbox. Anyone having problems with sending PM’s?
September 1, 2007 at 1:14 am #613029PMs sit in the outbox until they have been read. Once they have been read they move to the sent box.

Oooh, I didn’t know that. I was wondering what the Outbox was for. I learned something today! 😀
September 1, 2007 at 1:25 am #613031Ok. I thought it worked like email, showing up in the sent box right after sending it. Thanks!
