I know what you mean, the ending was disappointing… it just didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the movie. I did really like the emphasis on imagination and seeing the world around you in your own way, then opening that world to others. In a way, the ending did support that idea, but it still didn’t fit as well as I think a different end might have. Still, a good movie overall
I read the book when I was a kid and cried… now I don’t remember it that well, but I was a bit surprised that they made the movie and told my husband that I didn’t want to see it. (I didn’t use to mind sad movies, but after losing grandparents & loved ones they always seem to bring back too much and so I avoid them.)
